Henoch-schonlein Purpura.
Hi. My wife is being passed around GP's who admit no experience of this condition- Henoch-schonlein Purpura. Just had 1 blood test - still waiting results. No treatment. Both very worried about what we have read in terms of possible deveopments. Are there any experts in North Wales or North West UK

Hi everyone;: I'm on hydroxy the 500 1 pill a day I take at night. I've been on it for about a year with no problem. I find usually I fall asleep very quickly and get a good deep sleep. However, sometimes when I have to get up and pee during the night I have to perch on the bed and wait until I can

Denosumab and diffuse SSc
Hi I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has had/ or taking Denosumab, for bones, our GP has recommended that my partner who has diffuse SSc, should have this treatment after a DEXA scan. But obviously can't take it orally so looking into a once every six months infusion, any comments/advice

Sleep apnea test
Have PAF, 2 episodes in 7 mo, doc is just now asking that I get sleep apnea test. I understand sleep apnea can be a contributer to a fib but Im pretty sure I dont have it and dont want the expense of the test if its not really important. So asking for opinions. My spouse, who does have insomnia is awake

Hey, i take 1mg clonazepam for night terrors to be relatively under control and currently 30w pregnant. I'm really uncertain how breastfeeding will work, will i have to choose between once a fortnight terrors and a formula fed baby or nightly terrors and a breastfed baby? My midwife hinted i could have

Apnea
I strongly recommend that all you PDers get tested for sleep apnea. In apnea, one stops breathing during sleep for a short time, thereby depriving the body of much needed oxygen. It can be the cause or a contribution to a lot of serious conditions. Apnea is divided into two parts, obstruction (where

Permanent atrial fibrillation and little or no sleep.
I have touched on this subject before but am still in desperate need of any suggestions. I have Permanent atrial fibrillation and find sleep of a night quite a problem. I wear ear plugs because of light noise both inside and outside the bedroom. Out side is passing traffic etc. which is already reduced

Lung denervation
I am the lady in the Daily Mail today. It really is a miracle!! I can now do things that I would not even try before, like going to a Supermarket, walking down the road etc. I did have a few side effects, but most have gone and the remaining cough is subsiding. Would definitely recommend you find out

Sleep tight!
Subject:. Sleep apnea I went recently to be tested for apnea and when I asked the doc how long I would have to use the mask, his reply was that once you have it, you always have it. I thought about that comment later with reference to my PD husband who was diagnosed years ago (pre-PD dx) after a hospital

Bradycardia and Sleep Apnea
This afternoon when I went to a short nap while feeling fatigued and my heart was very slow around 50 bpm, shortly the heart rate alarm woke me up as my heart rate drooped to 45 bpm within a few minutes after I drifted to sleep. This happens to me everyday since 4 years now. I tried CPAP but it didn't

Cymbalta (duloxetine)
I was given this medication 12 months ago by a Neurologist for Peripheral Neuropathy? However, since reducing my Pred by 1 mg (now on 6 mg) the symptoms of numb feet have almost disappeared. I therefore said to my GP that I could not see any reason why I am taking the duloxetine (30 mg at night).

Summer reading
Hi all, two books I'd requested arrived at the library quite recently and I checked them both out. One is Alex Kerten's "Goodbye Parkinson's, Hello Life!" Frankly I don't know what to make of it. He has pioneered something called "Gyro-Kinetics" which blends dance, martial arts and behavior modification
