Hi I am currently taking 150 mg of sertroline daily and 7 and a half mg of mirtazapine at night to help me sleep.
I have been taking these for around 5 years now. For the past 4 years I have been having nasty and disturbing dreams most nights with a few proper nightmares. These are bugging me more and more. Does anyone else suffer with these? And could they be caused by my meds? My dreams are mainly anxiety

Restless Legs for 20 + Years
I have had Restless Leg Syndrome for 20+ years and was not taken seriously by medicos for many years. I have been tried on a myriad of medications, none of which are working. It has now gone into my arms. I have spoken to a sleep specialist and he stated that your sleep has a lot to do with this condition

Sleep Neurologist visit
Last week I had a consult with a sleep neurologists. My main concern was that I have been on ambien/zolpidem for years. I usually take 3 or 4 5mg every 2-3 hrs when I wake up with urgency urination. His response was similar to a MD that I saw 4 years ago.... Although they prefer not to use this

Not a good week
Having finally managed to make my way back onto the forum on Monday after too long away, I was full of the joys of spring tra-la! I then went for my long-awaited pain clinic appointment on Monday afternoon. Now I really regret it! Outcome of a one-hour consultation was - he will refer me to the multi-disciplinary

Just had my monitor for sleep apnea test last night as requested by my doctor and was so uncomfortable, don't think I slept much !!
Wonder what this test will show ? Had a 7 page questionaire to fill in and was very happy to see a question for Thyroid blood test levels which I eagerly filled in my TSH, FT4 and positive Thyroid peroxidase antibodies blood test results. Fingers crossed they will enlighten my Doctor that alot

Slapped cheek syndrome - when to seek advice and both feet are in flare but I have to work, any suggestions?
Hello, I have just found out that my nephew has slapped cheek syndrome, I spent the day with him 24 hours prior to diagnosis. The NHS website suggests anyone with a weakened immune system should contact GP. do I really need to? I am on Enbrel and my RA is under control, strange thing is that

Pseudo Bulbar Palsy??
I just wanted to share this with you. Bob, my husband was diagnosed by his neurologist at the movement disorder clinic in Calgary. She made the diagnosis of PSP, and sent the information to the GP here. Every visit to the GP, he was calling this pseudo bulbar palsy, not progressive supra nuclear palsy

Sleep Apnoea in CLL and SLL ...is this being missed by our doctors???
Could this be a cause of some fatigue? Might be worth discussing a sleep study with your doctor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_apnea

WOW over 8 hours sleep last night!!
Don't know what was different but last night I went to bed at 10 read for a bit went to sleep and didn't wake up until nearly 8.30. I have been trying to figure out what I had done differently because instead of waking up tired I actually feel refreshed. The only thing that is different is I have started

for some reason I have the sleeping pattern of an owl
Just can't get me head round this, as we know the sun helps people that have depression and that's all well and good... but here is where I hit the brick wall! I sleep all day and am awake all night due to my depression, and I have tried everything to swap the sleeping pattern around. I was thinking

Hello, unfortunately my mother-in-law is in hospital spending her last weeks coping with this horrible disease(pulmonary fibrosis)...
She is a very anxious person and this doesn't help either! Does anybody know a relaxation program she could follow or something that could relax her? She doesn't want to read nor listen to music and she is very distressed (understandably) and panicky all the time...we would like to help her...Thanks
