Hi All, My 54 year old husband has had PD for approx. 8 years. A nightmare for the most part. He suffered with such a debilitating sleep disorder that he almost lost his part job. Our family life was semi destroyed from his inability to function. He had brain fog much of the time and slept for hours

Stressful Day & Heightened symptoms
So I had a my first super stressful day yesterday with this lovely MS diagnosis. MIL put in hospital with possible stroke; standing on those concrete floors all evening; daughter in trouble at school; work was a DISASTER..... and now my legs are terrible. Common for symptoms to flair upon stress?

Help: Son is escaping at night!
Hello, My son is 8 years old and was diagnosed with ADHD at age 5 and has been on medication since that time, which seems to reduce symptoms during the day (though only by a bit). His father and I are divorced (have been since my son was 1 year old) and share 50/50 custody and nights with our son. At

Dealing with my first AF episode since diagnosis 6 months ago
I have posted a lot in the last few days about various problems this week and can only say thanks for all the help. So the thing is how do I deal with being in AF at the moment. For those who have not read or connected the posts here is a quick summary. I have had a virus which has gone to my chest.

Blocked tubes but no hydrosalpinx?
Yesterday I had a lap and dye to see conclusively whether one or both or my tubes were blocked and needed tying (HSG and ultrasound we’re inconclusive). The surgeon told me that yes, they were both blocked but no hydrosalpinx so no clipping required - what causes a blockage if not hydro and why can’t

Jumpy legs!!!!
I have been struggling with jumpy, spasm like symptoms for a long time. I was given Mirapex which worked very well at first. I became used to it I suppose and had to increase the dosage. When I was at 4 times the original dose and still having issues, I had to stop all together to "reset" my body. The

Gaucher Disease
Does anyone on here have Gaucher Disease? There seems to be a link between that, Parkinsons, and being an ashkenazi Jew. I'm trying to get more information about this. Thanks. Symptoms and timing of getting one then the other or simultaneous diagnosis.

Association of sleep apnea and Parkinson's ?
Recently I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and while looking up if there is any connection between it and PD found the following article https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5473481/ Would be interested to know if there are others on this site diagnosed with sleep apnea.

DNA Testing
I did a DNA test for my PD dad back in February (around the time he had worsening dementia) and got the results back recently. There's a section on neurotransmitters, ie dopamine, norepinephrine etc and shows he has risks with Parkinsons. Not sure how accurate these tests are, obviously no idea what

Post miscarriage - what next for prep
Hi all I haven't posted for a while but I have been around. Following our managed miscarriage two weeks ago I am desperately keen to get going with our next round with fet, but also keen never to go through another miscarriage. Restless legs, why worse at times?
At different times in my life, I've had restless legs, and insomnia caused by that. I would take a sleep aid, one not mentioned as being worse for rls. Right now, big issue. Six nights in a row. I'm in a remote location for three more weeks with no access to pharmacy. Besides stretching exercises, what
