Has anyone with PBC had experience with Shingrix - negative or positive? Cheers

Hi all,I had my Shingrix vaccination on Thursday and the nurse did say to expect a bit of redness and swelling round the injection site. I didn't expect this though and it's grown in size each day! Has anyone else experienced this reaction?

Hello Can anyone help with the spacing of Adalimumab and Shingrix vaccine? I have not yet started Adalimumab (been waiting over 6 months - long story!) but rheumy nurse says prescription now with pharmacy. Second Shingrix is due 16 July and not sure what margin to leave around this vaccine.

I am still on 4 mgms of Prednisilone for my PMR but I am now overdue for my 2nd Shingrix, Flu and Covid vaccine. Any suggestions of which I should do first and what gaps I should leave would be appreciated.

I'm booked in for a shingles vaccination in 9dys time but need to book a covid vaccination too.I'm assuming that because I'll need Shingrix, that'll be two jabs? If so, do I need to leave time between either of those and the covid one. I had thought of having the covid jab this week if possible.

I have been advised to have the Shingrix vaccine and I feel I should, but I'm quite scared of the possible side effects being older and immune compromised. Has anyone here had the vaccine and how did you tolerate it, please?

Had my second jab for Shingles yesterday had no reaction to first one but as I write have been awake since 2.30 am feeling really “wired “ unable to sleep and fatigued headache, body bit achy, .lets hope tonight I can sleep. Thought I would share .

I would just like to thank everyone for sharing their experiences about having the Shingrix vaccine. It seems the consensus is that it’s far better to have the vaccine than risk getting a severe bout of shingles!Even if you do experience some side effects. I will go ahead and book with GP.

Hi, Can anyone share their experience of having the shingrix vaccination. I am now on biologics and have been advised that I should have it. Are the side effects similar to the covid vaccination?

Had my 1st dose of shingrix on the 11th of this month, 8 days later I get shingles!!

One was Shingrix vaccine which appears to have helped my version of PMR finally to go into remission. The other was possible aggravation of previously inconsequential heart symptoms by Moderna covid vaccine.)

Last October, a new vaccine called Shingrix came out and it is totally safe for all of us. I am now in my fourth week of this horrible shingles condition and believe me, PMR will seem like a walk in the park when the shingles have gone! Please get vaccinated if you haven't already.

I noted that Lupus sufferers over 50 were supposed to be eligible for the Shingrix jab. However, after requesting one from the Surgery the receptionist said no. I did recently get the over 75s Covid booster without asking, courtesy of my immune system, , which I thought over the top.

Hi Everyone, I received my second (recombinant) shingles vaccine yesterday. The first one caused a mild fever and malaise. This time my finger joints are stiff and pretty painful. Has anyone else had something similar and, if so, how long did it last? Thanks so much

Things were looking up until 2 weeks ago, I had my shingrix booster and started to feel unwell after 2 days. I contacted my GP and the nurse said that it should subside.

I have previously posted regarding my frustration at being unable to get the Shingrix vaccination on the NHS despite taking MTX at 20mg. I believe I would be eligible if I was on greater than 20mg as I am taking no other meds. I am 62 so also ineligible based on age.
