Help with
shin

Does anyone suffer coldsores?
I've been on methotrexate for about 10weeks now and it's really helping but I've had what I think are coldsores on and off for about 3 weeks now. They're little white painful pimples which pop and crust...TMI sorry! first in my nostril and now I've got one above my lip. I'm not sure whether to see the

Has my running career stopped before it's really begun?.....
Should I just go for it and see if the pain is more muscular rather than
shin
splints
and eases after a few mins?

Hello, completed week one with no problems but on the first run of week two I had pain on my

Graduation week coming up....
....and am approaching it with some trepidation! I've felt really off the boil for the past week and have struggled with continuous running for 28 minutes. I've had to have 2 or 3 30 second breaks which has really hacked me off, but I've got a Race for Life as my graduation run on Wednesday, so I'm

W9R2 nearly killed me
If I run too fast, I end up with
shin
splints
. But because I was holding back, it was putting pressure on my back and after another km it really started to get painful. Decided to call it a day, I managed 3km on and off and in total, ran for about 20 minutes.

Week 2 run 2 - OUCH!
Never mind
shin
splints
, I'm getting pain in my thighs too, it's like I can feel very bone in my legs crushing each other. I'm good at coping with pain so I did it, but why is the question?!

Week 2 and a Personal Trainer
Lots of pain in my shins today, she tells me it is
shin
splints
. Hopefully, the pain will lessen by tomorrow's run. Have any of you ran with a coach? Mine pushed me to do an extra 60secs - full speed sprinting no less! What a workout!

Fantastic Run!!!!!!!!!
W2R3 and although I was dreading it after having such a hard time running Sunday (breathless, stitch,
shin
splints
and blisters) I really really enjoyed it, so much so that I did it again after my 5 min cool down! Looking forward to W3R1 on Thursday now........ BRING IT ON!!!!!

Fibro connected to Lyme disease!!!
I have just read an article in July's Prima. I quote:"Lyme disease caught from tick bites in countryside...........................It can cause chronic health problems, such as fibromyalgia, which comes on years after the initial infection, so it(LD) must be taken seriously. This is the first time I

Shin splints ??
No noticeable pain today, but I'm starting to getting paranoid that it is the dreaded
shin
splints
. What do you think ? Am i worrying over nothing ? Interestingly, had a deep tissue massage the day before, so don't know if that has anything to do with it ?

Today wasn't meant to be :(
I force myself to slow down to avoid
shin
splints
but feel like it's the slowing down process that damages my back. I tried to run through the pain for 3 or 4 minutes but eventually had to drop to a walk for a minute or so.

Finding it tough!
I am sure this is not
shin
splints
but some other strain. I was due to do my WK7 R1 on Thursday but went to the gym and did some cross trainer work out instead. I have decided to rest legs for a few days but I am not sure if this is a detriment or not. Has anyone else experienced this?
