I have been lurking around here for a while, but this is my 1st post... After graduating last week, I completed my 1st 5k yesterday. When I started running, I had pain down the front of my shins, which I've never experienced before, I kept running and managed the 5k without the pain being a problem, and it eased a lot once I'd warmed up. No noticeable pain today, but I'm starting to getting paranoid that it is the dreaded shin splints. What do you think ? Am i worrying over nothing ? Interestingly, had a deep tissue massage the day before, so don't know if that has anything to do with it ?
