Bruised shins or shin splints
I am fairly sure it isn't
shin
splints
as it isn't sharp pain just feels like bruising, friend C25k graduate advised ice on my legs following a run. I can run with the bruised feeling but they also feel bruised when just walking and resting too.

Hand Foot and Mouth disease was I'm sure how I got Viral Meningitis.
I am a primary teacher and in October 2011 a few children in my class had Hand Foot and Mouth disease. However, I was told by PH dept, that once the blisters dry, the child may go back to school. Two weeks later I was diagnosed with VM and now, 10 months later, I'm still struggling to lead a normal

Burning sensation in lower legs - shin splints?
Could this be
shin
splints
? It's not actually on my
shin
though so not sure? What's the advice with running when experiencing leg pain?

Oh what a lovely run!
Nearly 3 weeks off with
shin
splints
and back to Wk1 R1 after getting to Wk6. But it was lovely, even in the rain. Making the most of running for a min at a time, as I know what's ahead :P Legs feel OK so far...

and a mega dose of the Flu plus a chest infection. I finally completed the program!! 5.11 km in 30 mins. Very pleased with myself!

Week 2 run 1 & 2 shin pain
Would I be right in assuming this is
shin
splints
? Gutted if I can't continue with podcasts as really need to keep the momentum going. Had an extra rest day today and am icing shins just now. Don't want to miss another day. Any one else had same problems with heel running?

Light jogging?
What is 'light jogging,' am recovering from
shin
splints
and am keen to get back out there. V. frustrating as I was about to finish W6. In two minds whether to start again from W1 or just do 10 mins 4 x a week. Any advice? Thanks :)

Race For Life 5k done!
Hey peeps As I mentioned previously, I only recently came back in to resume the program after about a month off due to
shin
splints
/query stress fracture. When I started the program I had timed it all beautifully to finish up by doing the 5km race for life...

Here goes nothing.
I did try to go running a few times over the years but each time have ended up with
shin
splints
and given it up as something i just don't do. ( my weight probably didn't help) I have a decen't pair of trainers some enthusiasm and through a search on the works computer found this programme. so

Shin splints and ? Stress fracture.... Ugh! But now, backin the game!
So during my last run back at the end of May (W5R1) I was unable to finish... Sharp pain in my shins and no amount of walking it off was going to let me complete the run. After two weeks of "rest" (no runs) I thought I was on the mend but suddenly a golf-ball sized lump appeared from nowhere on my

Does anyone suffer coldsores?
I've been on methotrexate for about 10weeks now and it's really helping but I've had what I think are coldsores on and off for about 3 weeks now.
