Any thoughts, friends, before I send this letter?
I have late Stage 3 COPD,
severe
asthma
and moderate bronchiectasis and assumed the ultrasound technician would be wearing a mask to carry out the scan. However, when I asked him to wear one I was met with resistance.

mesh repair? [Thread contains photographs]
Am wondering if anyone has had this repair for parastomal hernia and outomes? Am considering getting this done. Saw colorectal surgeon- didn’t fill me with enthusiasm due to risk of it recurring. I am beginning to look like I have a fully inflated helium balloon lurking! I wish I had been advised on

Well, that was a disaster...
Sorry to post twice in one day 😆 I just had my asthma review (phone appointment) since changing from Relvar to Symbicort. I told the nurse that the Symbicort had been working really well but I've had a flare-up in the past week and my asthma's been all over the place since getting a cold. I explained

Newly discovered allergies and link to asthma
I posted a few weeks ago as I was having a bad flare up of asthma post-covid. I had a asthma attack at home and saw my GP shortly afterwards. Because it happened out of the blue at home and not due to my normal triggers like exercise, smoke, pollutants etc, she decided to do some allergy tests and

Asthma post covid
I’ve had covid unfortunately twice in the last 4 months, the first time really affected my asthma for 8 weeks, A short while later I then got covid unfortunately again but with minimal symptoms, 2 weeks later I’m getting problems again. I get sudden onset breathlessness with palpitations and feel faint

Any link between high T3/ over replacement or under replacement and asthma?
Hello helpful people Has anyone ever noticed they get more wheezy/asthma symptoms when they are over or under replaced with thyroid hormone? I used to think it was a coincidence but my onset of asthma symptoms seems to coincide with the need for a dose adjustment - usually a reduction. I’ve never

Struggling to control my asthma
Hi, I have had asthma for the past 5 years, i was diagnosed with adult asthma. Always been controlled until last year when I had a hospital trip my meds were changed and all settled. Switch from Azithromycin to Doxycycline
Hi, I have
severe
asthma
and pseudomonas infection for which I’ve been put back on Colomycin nebs following an infection that wouldn’t resolve, but did after I asked my GP if we could try a course of cipro (they didn’t try that first as sputum sample didn’t show pseudomonas).

A bit about cortisol levels etc
I have had
severe
asthma
and have moderately bad MS. I have a lovely life and enjoy each day to the full. However to the relevant matter. My GCA/ PMR journey has been long and tortuous .I am on a tapering Pred regime when I started Tocilizumab injections mid March.

Asthma and essential oils diffuser?
My sister bought me one of these diffusers (think that’s what it’s called) you put essential oil’s in. I wanted to check it was save to use with asthma but I’m finding conflicting advice on the net. Does anyone know anything about this? I’m not sure whether I should go ahead and use it or politely

What does an asthma attack feel like for you?
I’ve had asthma since late 20s, for about 15 years now, Was very mild for first few years and easily managed. Got much worse post pregnancy and particularly in recent years, after viral infections. On fostair now and last time it was bad steroids and fostair didn’t work, but eventually montelukast

Easter break 🥚🐰
Will you be celebrating Easter this Sunday? With family get togethers, indulgent feasts and time spent with friends, Easter weekend is a celebration for many people. However, some people may find that their asthma symptoms get triggered – this could be down to the weather, pollen or different foods

Feeling angry - stoma supplies and dignity
Just had a bad phone call and am feeling so angry - I need to vent. I ordered my stoma products as I have done every month for the last 18 months - through their online portal. Their system sends an email to the GP, they authorise, and the products are dispatched and arrive with me, usually not more
