For reference, I have
severe
asthma
that is barely controlled, and for the majority of the time there’s no identifiable trigger. Thanks.

Pari Velox issue
For context I don’t yet have a diagnosis, I was treated for
severe
asthma
for a number of years to little avail and now it is certain I do not have asthma but we made some changes to my medication just before the pandemic and things have been going great.

Lung nodule biopsy.
I have
asthma
, chronic bronchitis &
severe
emphysema. I've been really lucky to have been referred for several clinical trials for the above. My recent visit to the hospital for testing showed a lung nodule had almost doubled in size.

Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs!
Well, I would if we had some! Some of you may remember that I've had some concern that COPD seems to have been dropped from my diagnosis without my knowledge. Finally, I have received a letter from my consultant clarifying the situation. I was first diagnosed with Asthma, then a few years later with

Asthma and running
Hi all, Not sure if you can help, I struggle with my asthma when I run, my chest gets tight and I get wheezy, despite taking my inhaler and the symptoms continue after the run. When I do other exercise such as spinning class, swimming or a ‘bootcamp’ class my asthma does not bother me, any tips?

Get to the route cause
Hi. I am not needing advice but I hope my post can help at least one person. Ive had "asthma" supposedly for years, and am a lady of 65. My doctors always talked as if it is normal to suddenly get asthma, for no apparent reason, and live with it forever. I also have small lungs where I am not able to

First asthma attack.
hi, I'm new to this community. So I've had exercise induced asthma since 2019. I'm a regular runner and Gym user, and have my asthma controlled with regular medication, I've recently noticed I've been a bit more breathless than usual whilst running, and yesterday, during a XC race I had my first asthma

does is seem my son has asthma ?
hi I was told to trial my son on a blue inhaler as coughs all year. But I am not really getting much info on if he has asthma etc as it’s been 18 days and not getting much guidance with it all. He is 8 and 132cm tall … I’m not fully understanding what the graph is telling me and how bad it is etc

Sinus issues and asthma
I had a flare up of my asthma last week and ended up on a short course of prednisolone which thankfully has now finished. The virus that I've had seems to have now moved from my lungs into my sinuses - I've had many issues with my sinuses over the years - this virus is the gift that keeps giving!!

Asthma flare up due to anxiety
Because of everything that I am dealing with and no real outlet (yet) my asthma is not being triggered. I had the worst asthma flare up I couldn’t catch my breath at all yesterday not even a nebulizer treatment and 4 inhaler would work. Had to go to the UC to get put on a steroid to get my breathing

Fancy sharing your experience of bonfire night with ALUK? ✨🧨🔥
Asthma + Lung UK is looking for people with asthma who are badly affected by smoke for a press campaign about Bonfire Night and its effects on those with lung conditions. If you or your child has suffered an asthma attack on one bonfire night or has to stay indoors on Nov 5 because smoke is a trigger

Any advice on explaining severe asthma to doctors and nurses?
I had a frustrating experience at the hospital yesterday. I've been in a bad flare that's gotten progressively worse so last week I started my at-home protocol of 50 mg of pred a day and Ventolin 3x a day. Yesterday, on day 6, I was even worse so I went to the hospital. Because I wasn't wheezing and
