Variable Asthma and pain medication.
My Question to you as a community is: Does anyone have the same problem about pain medications when it comes to
Asthma
. I have
severe
pain and it seems to be getting worse, not better and no relief with paracetamol and the bit of tramadol that I am allowed to take 50 mg.

Salbutamol for Myasthenia
I looked up the NHS's maximum dose for the kind of
severe
asthma
attacks I used to have: 10 puffs in 5 minutes. I took these while rinsing and swallowing water to ensure all the salbutamol - approximately 10x 100 mcg = 1mg - was absorbed in the lungs or the stomach.

Heads Up
I’ve looked into this and it seems that the ‘high risk’ criteria have been revised and that some neurological and psychiatric disorders are now included - also Diabetes 1 and 2 and COPD and
severe
asthma
No sign of any thyroid conditions including Graves or Hashimotos.

Vacationing
Hi. I was wondering what you all do to prepare for a vacation when being on an airplane and change of air quality triggers your asthma? I haven’t traveled since before the pandemic but that was also the last time I had to take prednisone. I also used to travel for two weeks so I had time for my asthma

New to biologics - don't feel particularly well.
Now, the only other thing is I had my first ever biologic injection for my
severe
asthma
about 2 weeks ago. I'm on the new Tezelepumab. Could this be affecting my AI? Any fellow asthmatics with AI on biologics, do you find it makes your AI more temperamental?

Infuriating Asthma Appointment
So i had a follow-up appointment with my asthma consultant at the hospital today and he told me that he doesn't think I have asthma despite the fact that I have been diagnosed asthmatic most of my life and that I don't need to take inhalers or nebulisers or use steroids and antibiotics. He believes this

Exhausted
I’ve had a particularly rough time recently with asthma attacks. I’ve currently got no infections, and my peak flow and vitals are fine the last few days, but I feel absolutely exhausted from an asthma attack last week. It’s to the point where I have to lie down after even going down the stairs. How

Asthma attacks
Hi everyone, I’ve got adult onset asthma and I’ve been struggling with several asthma attacks this year where I feel short of breath and very wheezy. My oxygen has always been ok-ish (always above 93% and was above 96% on recent attack). I’m wondering if anyone else experiences this (asthma attacks

These are medical tests which look for bacteria, viruses or fungi. They can be ordered for body fluids such as urine, blood or stools. Some of us with P.A. or B12 deficiency might have H.pylori or overgrowth of microorganisms in the small intestine. I had a stool test and gut microbiome tests. The microbiome

Help with my daughter's results please
A holiday in Malta last October, resulted in yet another hospital stay -
severe
asthma
attack this time. She has a monthly experimental injection for her very severe allergies, which had resulted in several ER visits and hospital stays. She says this knocks down her immune system.

Chest Clinic
My GP/ Asthma Nurse has referred me to the Chest Clinic at the hospital because my scores at my last asthma check-up were pretty low, and I've got my appointment on Wednesday, but I'm not sure what I should mention. I get frequent flare-ups and chest infections- flare-ups probably between every 4-6 weeks

Is there a firm way to distinguish sinus issues from asthma symptoms
This might sound like a stupid question but I have a nasal condition - chronic rhinitis with polyps which is relatively managed however my nose/nasopharynx has changed somehow in the past year in that it makes whistling noises when I breath in. Particularly my left nostril it feels a bit like breathing
