Circle of Life: A Journey Through Asthma and Environmental Factors
In the realm of asthma, personal experiences can be as diverse as the individuals themselves. At the age of 15, I entered the asthmatic world, a journey that has shaped me in ways I never anticipated. Now at 33, I find myself feeling remarkably better, with my asthma remaining dormant for the past

I don't know why the specialist prescribed a low dose for me since my
asthma
is
severe
, uncontrolled and I have always been prescribed strong inhalers. I wonder if my family doctor can change me to a higher dose, or only a specialist can do it? Thank you for all your replies.

How long did you wait for biologics?
Hi, I've now received a letter saying the

asthma
clinic have referred me for a trial of biologic treatment. My question is how long did it take for you to start the treatment from the referral being sent?

?asthma
a few years ago after a bout of bronchitis which I often got in the winter I was given asthma pumps, Iāve never been sure if I had asthma. Following wheezing when I lay down or even in the day my doctor listened to my chest and sent me for a chest X-ray, this showed a shadow on my lung and I was sent

Salbutamol for Myasthenia
I looked up the NHS's maximum dose for the kind of
severe
asthma
attacks I used to have: 10 puffs in 5 minutes. I took these while rinsing and swallowing water to ensure all the salbutamol - approximately 10x 100 mcg = 1mg - was absorbed in the lungs or the stomach.

Asthma or something more sinister?
So I'm mid asthma diagnosis at the moment, I'm on a steroid inhaler twice a day after having, what I assume was an asthma attack whilst on holiday in Rome. Long story short I tried a dodgy vape pen whilst out there that immediately gave me an allergic reaction (very smart I know)Ever since that ill

New adult onset asthma
I've just come out of hospital with what is assumed to be a
severe
asthma
attack. I spent 10 days in respiratory ward. My o2 got down to 89% and my peak flow down below 200. It took me a long time to turn round but now back at home recovering.

Is asthma one of the most serious conditions out there?
I donāt mean to trigger anxiety by this so please donāt take it as factual in anyway it is just a question I was thinking to myself though isnāt asthma one of the most serious/dangerous conditions there is and therefore shouldnāt it warrant free prescriptions? For example not many other conditions

New to biologics - don't feel particularly well.
Now, the only other thing is I had my first ever biologic injection for my
severe
asthma
about 2 weeks ago. I'm on the new Tezelepumab. Could this be affecting my AI? Any fellow asthmatics with AI on biologics, do you find it makes your AI more temperamental?

My Question to you as a community is: Does anyone have the same problem about pain medications when it comes to
Asthma
. I have
severe
pain and it seems to be getting worse, not better and no relief with paracetamol and the bit of tramadol that I am allowed to take 50 mg.
