Useless GP's. I don't trust them anymore with managing my asthma and health!
At my doctors appointment today, I had a new doctor who was very dismissive of all of my health conditions. One of the things he said was 'there is nothing seriously wrong with you'. Does brittle asthma not come under that catagory? if i have an attack i can guarantee i'm liekly to end up in intensive

A big THANK YOU to all those of you who offered me so much brilliant advice on how to adjust to living with a stoma . That has proven to be the easy bit bar the pain of my innards trying to re assemble themselves . This was my fourth , major abdominal operation and innards do not like to be touched and

Hysterectomy / Gallbladder
Hi everyone, so I am seeing my gynae soon for a review, I have been on the waiting list for a hysterectomy, removal of both ovaries and excision. I am having daily bleeding, had TCRE and removal of polyps but didn't help. Large chocolate cysts on both ovaries and extensive endo/adhesions everywhere,

Bad Asthma for three months
I’be had asthma for the last three months that means I don’t sleep properly and have difficulty walking. I keep going back to my gp and have had 4 courses of steroids. Each time I take steroids I get better but then it returns. Taking inhalers as well. On Friday asked if I could see a respiratory doctor

Begging for help
Being near a horse would trigger a big inflammatory response in hives, puffy and watery eyes, and a
severe
asthma
attack that would result in needing a nebuliser. My allergies have lessened to a certain extent but I still struggle daily with asthma.

Asthma or Bronchiectatis?
Hi, I'm new to the community and wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem with their diagnosis. At the age of 50 I was diagnosed with mature onset asthma which proved very difficult to control. I have tried a number of different inhalers and I'm currently on Symbicort 200/6 and Spiriva. I

Severe Refractory Eosinophilic Asthma - the next chapter: My Story
My story is similar to a lot of people with SREA. I was finally diagnosed in 2016 with this life changing disease after making 5 appearances at A&E and subsequent hospital stays. I lost my job because of all the absence. I missed my family and friends. My partner was neglected. My life had changed but

Possible lung infection???
Well after a rollercoaster of emotions over the last couple of weeks, lung lesions, probably a new primary lung cancer and then a possible infection, I’m now on steroids and high dose antibiotics. Hoping and praying that this clears whatever is on my lung. Feeling strange on the tabs to say the least

cardiac arrest and brain injury - recovery
Hi, I am new here. My brother had cardiac arrest on July 25, and he is in ICU ever since. He was 19 days in coma, GCS 4, than raised to 5, he had no reflexes, no reaction to whatsoever, no pupil reaction or reaction to pain stimuli. Doctors were only saying to us that "miracles can happen, and that
