IGE Blood test results in severe asthma?
Does anyone know if it’s ok to have normal full count IGE levels in
severe
asthma
? Do they shoot up in exacerbations? What tests you need to prove
severe
asthma
in tertiary centres?

asthma as chest tightness
I'm just fed up with the
severe
asthma
clinic I'm under : they are trying to confirm my diagnosis but so far everything has shown as normal. I know it's asthma and it's horrendous between January and August due to pollen as well as with chest infections. But I can't convince them thar it is.

Severe infrequent asthma attack
Hi,Has anyone had infrequent (twice in 2 years in my partners case)
severe
asthma
attack where the inhaler does not work? What causes it? What do you do? How do you manage it? Paramedics put it down to anxiety attack as she was fine by the time they turned up.

Bruising from high dose steroid inhaler
Also ask my GP if I can be referred to a
severe
asthma
clinic at my local hospital (GPs can do this). The possible
severe
asthma
I may have is because I am highly allergic to house dust mite and I could have a phenotype of asthma. Any thoughts or advice please

Blood Tests
I was diagnosed with
Severe
Asthma
back in 2015 after all other tests ruled out other possibilities, I've shown >20% variability with peak flow diaries, and my asthma is triggered by allergens and infections, and I can be absolutely fine one minute, then an attack will come out of nowhere.

Congestion
I had a few days of, for me,
severe
asthma
, which was sorted out with a short course of prednisolone. I just cannot seem to get rid of the congestion, keeping me awake at night and I am so tired. I had a sputum test done a month ago which was clear, allegedly.

But since then I have had very bad IBS symptoms bloating wind etc. I am wondering

Update - "Any advice?"
I'd also spoken to an asthma nurse at Asthma and Lung UK, which helped, and I was advised to request an Alpha-tryptine deficiency blood test, as 2 of my siblings also have
severe
asthma
, so got that at the GP on Thursday.
