Is laparoscopy worth it if I'm not in severe pain? (Severe endo)
2 years ago now I started getting mild pains and UTI symptoms. After multiple dipstick tests (that showed no UTI) I was referred to gynae, then an ultrasound (2 cysts and adhesions), then an MRI (severe endo all over the bowel, ovaries and bladder). I've been put on Triptorelin shots to prepare for the

Bad asthma flare-up - looking for advice
Hi everyone, I've been having a scary time of it recently. I've had several asthma attacks this week (pretty bad ones, I think) and I'm now on prednisone to try and get things under control (my first dose was this morning). My chest is pretty tight currently, but no attack today, thankfully. I'm pretty

Asthma Mystery
Hi! I have been diagnosed with asthma. When I wake up in the morning my lungs ache and I feel chest constriction. The strangest thing is, as soon as I eat (doesn't matter what it is), I can breathe better. My respirologist said he has never heard of this. Could this be something like GERDS, or something

My Dad is in a Coma...Will he wake up?
He does not have
asthma
but it was pretty
severe
. An ambulance was called and once they arrived, he collapsed. They were able to do CPR on him immediately, but unfortunately it took 20 minutes to get him back. On top of that, his heart stopped two more times, but they resuscitated him.

Here we go again!
I managed to get the first flight home from Portugal on 1st July. Since then I’ve been having all sorts of problems with my tummy. I have a stoma and it’s been unpredictable and painful. My CA125 has gone from 30 during chemo to 70 after chemo (prescribed Leterazole) and is now in the 100s. Obviously

Define severe asthma
The list issued by the govt (also my employer) says
severe
asthma
means requiring hospital visits or steroid tablets. Right now the only inhaler I take is the qvar daily and ventolin when needed.

Asthma and smoking..anyone smoke??
Hi all hope your keeping well, I'm having trouble with stopping smoking and I feel like my asthma is constant but my peak flow and oxygen are fine. Is it possible that thinking about the asthma to much is making it worse? And does anyone here with asthma smoke?? How does it make your throat feel if so

What products help you most with your PRD symptoms?
Hi, I volunteer for PRDA as a fundraiser, and I am keen to get businesses to donate to PRDA, especially those that supply products that people with Pelvic Radiation Disease find particularly useful. Please could you reply with any information about your medication, medical products (such as continence

I’m 38 years of age..asthmatic since age 1..I’ve always experienced asthma flare ups but since my teenage years I would say I’ve successfully controlled and lived a normal healthy life with asthma. Last year my asthma took a dark turn, I came down with a bad strain of flu..hospital..breathing rehab etc

Xolair and pregnancy
Hello all, I am currently on xolair for
severe
asthma
, been on it for about a year now. It’s been brilliant, and I feel like I have a good quality of life again. I’m just wondering if anyone has been on xolair and got pregnant ?? Was you able to keep receiving your injections??

This sounds like a stupid question, I know.
I wonder if others are clearer than I am about susceptibility to any respiratory viruses if you have asthma? I am thinking if your asthma is otherwise well controlled, not if you are going through a bad spell. I am asking as both my husband and I are over 70, so currently clinically vulnerable, but he
