Bloods / thyroid diagnosis ?
I got my blood results yesterday never asked for a print out but she said everything is fine apart from my blood count being really low and my kidney function wasn't right so whole new batch of bloods done again , but when I googled kidney function test symptoms etc, it all points to thyroid problems

I don't get how this is possible as I've been vegetarian (I eat eggs and dairy) for 22 years but I'm wondering if my deficiency is functional, and if that can cause

Confused about urine test
How can my T3 be upper part of range but my bood test showed FT3 low? This is confusing. Has anyone else had this? Do I go with blood test results?

Just had my endo appointment - I think it was a success?!
After 4 extremely unsuccessful & unhelpful appointments with my GP she referred me to the endo in October. It's took till today to get to see him but I think it went quite well & would be great to hear if you agree or I'm missing something. My GP referred me with 'tiredness'!! I explained my very long

Should I go back to GP or wait?
Hi, My 4.5 year old daughter has a problem with wetting. She does now have a wobl watch which has helped quite a lot. It is set for hourly reminders. My daughter has never initiated going to the toilet for a wee (she does for a poo). She goes if we or preschool staff tell her to, and now she goes mostly

High Serum Urea, is it associated with hypothyroidism?
Hi Last week I picked up some print outs of some blood test I had a few weeks ago at the Doctors. The serum urea is above range, so the Doctor ask me to do a urine sample, this came back O.K. and I was told to have the serum urea tested again in two months. Does anyone know if this is in anyway connected

GP now says I do not have Hashimoto's!
Hi all, me again! Since my last post a few months ago, and shortly just after returning to UK to live permantly with several previously diagnosed conditions, things have not progressed as favourably as I'd hoped given the quick referrals to Consultants, just got worse! Surprisingly, last week the GP

A year of pain and still no answers. Looking for the experience of others
Hi. I'm seeking experiences here not because I have been diagnosed with endometriosis but because this is what I think I have. My aim is to seek out the experience of others so I can consider my next medical step. For just over the last year I have been experiencing anything from mild to debilitating

Oh. My. God. I. Am. Pregnant! Oh, and have mild OHSS
Hello ladies (and gents), Well, I went into the hospital this morning to get my OHSS symptoms checked out (confirmed), but the bonus BIG news was that I'm pregnant!!! Test day was only tomorrow so got off the hook a day early. Had snuck in a urine test at home before going in for bloods this morning

Portacath fitted
Having seen the post about a PICC line has prompted me to post. I had a portacath fitted 2 weeks ago as I have lymoedema in one arm and veins in the other have been battered and was under the impression that it would be used for everything - chemo, blood tests etc. It is not the case - they are still

Dizziness everyday
I'm so desperate for answers for what I'm dealing with. About a month ago, I turned around while sleeping and all of a sudden felt super dizzy. I got up and became super dizzy the room was spinning and I was telling my fiancé that I was dizzy. I tried going to the restroom and could barely make it. I

A somewhat overdue update.
A lot has happened since my last post. I had a total hysterectomy (The whole factory is gone now), omenectomy, and low anterior resection of my bowel near the rectum as part of my surgical debulking on January 20th. I initially healed well from it, but ended up back in the hospital January 31st when

Worried not quite so worried
Hi Buddies, I have an appointment with the specialist for 15th June. Not as long to wait as I thought, I read that some patients have to wait for much longer. I have been told to bring a urine sample with me, can you tell me what they are testing for. Thank you so much for this forum I have learned
