Hi, I'm 39 and was diagnosed with RA in my 20's. After being terribly painful for about 2 years it went into almost full remission after a year of Sulphasalazine and NSAID's. Aside from the ends of both of my pregnancies I have had very little problems...until this year. In March I underwent a termination

Saline Inhalation
Hi, I have been asked to consider hypertonic saline in-between my twice daily salbutamol and gentamicin nebuliser. I am sure it would help with thick sputum clearance but i have had swollen ankles for about 15 years for which i take bendroflumethiazide but this does not make the swelling disappear. I

“Cast adrift" – thank goodness for the Forum Lifeboat!
I got to see the Rheumatologist the other day. My GP had agreed that after 2½ years I’m going backwards (back to my 10mg pred dose of 2 years ago and the worst pain, weakness and stiffness in my legs ever) and had asked for a quick response which was forthcoming. I took my long-suffering wife as reinforcements

Starting to give up!
Hello I am trying to find answers to my chronic health problems since beginning of August 2017. I will try to make this as short as possible. I was diagnosed with Graves 2003, had RAI in 2009 went hypo straight away then onto Levo now at 75mcg. Although I have never felt my normal healthy self since

Best initial cortisol test?
Good afternoon all. I'm feeling a bit too weak and feeble to go into it all in detail, but I'm considering a cortisol test to see if I have an adrenal problem, and just wondering what you lovely knowledgeable people would recommended as a good starting point as I know there are blood, saliva and urine

"so that means I have lupus then?!"
Sorry to just jump in but I am shaken up as found out I may have lupus in the worst way. Sorry this is long. Earlier this year I had a blood test which showed raised liver function, this led to more blood tests and the GP referred me to Rheumatology in June. I got an appointment for mid-August at which

Oxford bioscience
Anyone use Oxford Bioscience pure B12 and mix it themselves for their injections? My 20ml just arrived in the mail. I have read good reviews on their B12 but I am a lil worried since their bottle has a screw top. After adding the saline will it stay sterile with hsving to open and close the vial some

Dysentery anyone?? 😳
Sorry if this is a bit too much info but interested to see if anyone else has had similar and can give some advice. Wednesday night I went up to bed with my fiancé and just before he fell asleep I mentioned that I suddenly felt like I was going to be sick out of nowhere. I get a lot of stomach acid
