I too was on Avastin only, for a year. Had issues with high blood pressure as well as high protein levels. Went thru a number of 24 hour pee tests.I always had to do a urine test before receiving Avastin treatment. If numbers were too high,no treatment. Blood work as well, especially thru chemo. My kidney functions went down to 36%. After getting off Avastin in June,my levels have improved but still an issue with kidney function. As of end of August,I went on a trial for immunetherapy. Have had 3 treatments and will know more in Nov.when I have a cat scan. I hope this helps, just know there are a lot of us who have gone thru this and are still fighting the fight. Keep positive,I know it can be hard at times, but you can do it. Let me know if you have any more questions. I'm willing to answer them. Take care of yourself.🤗
Hi there, I was on Avastin for over a year. It did give me high blood pressure and high protein count. Always had urine tests as well as 24 hour urine tests. Avastin helped for that time but now back on chemo,carbo/Gemzar. Better blood pressure and urine count. Just anther bump in the road.
