Was having trouble hearing in the ear recently had an infection in saw the doctor today and I have apparently I have ruptured my ear drum. Now it is a lengthy wait for an appointment with our ENT. Dont give up. 2 yrs ago i had fluid coming from my ear. Had to go to a specialist i had no ear drum. They took off my ear n built an ear drum. I am home 98% of the time. I get reoccuring chills n fever lately 1 day a weer for a month ,8 yrs ! Last er doctor said steroids in spiriva can cause that. Never her such garbage. My white count wwas 19000 rather than the norm 9000 n i havent used spiriva in 2, weeks . stay strong n be around positive people . i am so removed from human contact that when i get out i am like the energizer bunny. Good luck to u chin up!!
Hello Ant , I am saddened to hear that you have yet another problem added to your plate. My wife had an eardrum rupture during an emergency landing. Yes it was better than a crash landing but it did cause her initial pain and the discomfort and hearing loss took a while to heal.
The point being Ant is that Ann's eardrum tear did heal and although her hearing is not as keen as before, it does score within the normal range for her age.
I hope that you pass through the pain stage quickly and soon begin to find your hearing returning.
Best wishes, Rib
Hope things get resolved soon Anthony x

thanks, Peg well on the upside I had my chronic health check today I never know my peak flow anymore as blowing into the machine would put my aneurysm at risk. Have to have a follow-up blood test as Lynda the nurse has noted one of two things in my blood mot, I manage to get squeezed in on Wednesday when my ECG is due then comes the doc again, one thing in all this and that is since the 4th of August and I started on my saline neb I have been free from flare-ups.
Glad your feeling a little on the upside....hope all goes well on Wednesday and I am keeping my fingers crossed that your saline nebuliser keeps up the good work. Xxx
