Worrying reaction to something

Ive had frequent episodes in which my face turns red, have slight swelling in nose and cheeks, feel a bit hot and bothered and generally unwell. On three occasions, these were accompanied by extreme fatigue and some aches and shivers really knocking me out for a couple of days. Ive had the milder episodes every week for a few months.

Last sunday at 8pm a particularly bad episode happened and my pulse was 120 for at least a few hours, blood pressure was in the 170s over100s over a few hours. My body was warm to touch, a pink sun-burnt colour, nose clearly swollen at bridge, had tingling in hands and feet, dry mouth, shivers, wheeze and cough, slow shallow breathing. It started with a sudden deep sleep in the evening and i had diarrhea earlier in the day. 111 made an A+E appointment at 01.15 but i cancelled it when i saw BP lower to 150s, i was too exhausted to get a taxi and i live alone.

I spent the entire next day sleeping.

My gp thinks it is an allergic reaction or maybe an intolerance. Carcinoid syndrome has been ruled out with CT scan and 24 hour urine sample in December.

Coeliac has also been ruled out through testing.

I have exocrine pancreatic deficiency and have just started creon.

I have been injecting b12 on my own every 2 days since september.

Can you develop an intolerance to B12?

Would any intolerance cause pulse and bp to increase like that?

Im on ramipril blood pressure medicine, so it is worrying to think what it might have been without that medication.

The GP has suggested changing the bp medication but i had these symptoms before i started it although i seem to have a perpetual stuffed nose and wheezy cough since starting it. A chest xray in december was clear.

I think it could be an alcohol intolerance as it only seems to happen when ive consumed alcohol but i hadnt had anything to drink since 10pm the night before this recent attack and it wasnt an excessive amount. I cant co-relate this escalation/heavy episode with the quantity of alcohol consumed. I am abstaining from alcohol as a trial.

I havent drank since saturday nor have i had ramipril since sunday but still have an ugly deep cough and blocked nose that ive had for months, its not shifting.

Ive been using anti histamines, sabutamol inhaler, anticongestant spray, otc cough medicines. Not sure they have much effect

Im really worried that the next attack will be even worse.

Sounds awful.

Havr you discussed an autonomic dysfunction?

If youvd had b12 or that long it shouldn't be that.

You are doubg the right thing by elimination to see if anything triggers it.

Keep going back to the doctor.

Hope you get answers
