GFR
Hi, I'm trying to get to the bottom of tachycardia besides the lame excuses of stress and anxiety. I've been going back over my GFR results and in 2016 it was 60, 2017 60, 2019 56 and 2020 66. With these types of results should I have had further investigations done. I have never been offered anything

Do external ultrasound scans (and those who interpret them) often miss early gynaecological cancers and endometriosis?
Do external ultrasound scans (and those who interpret them) often miss early gynaecological cancers and endometriosis? The gynae doc (not oncology or endo expert) who read my scan said 100% not ovarian cancer. How can she be so sure??? I’m sure there are people on here who have been misdiagnosed.

PCOS pain
Hello people. For the past few years, since my last transvaginal ultrasound, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Everything has been fine up until recently. I do take the contraception pill as I suffered with SERIOUSLY heavy periods to a point where my blood levels would dangerous drop which is why I'm classified

iodine deficiency and hashimoto endocrine cancer
I have hashimoto and iodine deficiency. I developed diarrhea and pain in my throat and chest when eating. My 24hr urine test 5hydroxy HIAA was positive. This can indicate neuroendocrine carcinoma. I am trying to find answer to the question whether iodine deficiency contributes to many diseases including

Light periods
During my review for my failed cycle, I mentioned that I started spotting yesterday (the day after my OTD) but that’s it’s been very light, even lighter than my usual periods which last 1-2 days and are light (I only really have blood flow when I go to the toilet otherwise at most spotting on a liner

Experience of A&E
Just thought I'd share my experience this week of an unscheduled visit to A&E. About 6pm all of a sudden my heart started to do strange things. After about an hour and a half it wasn't settling so I thought a call to 111 was needed. I ended up in A&E. The paramedics took me through the "green side

Awaiting results from Thyroid biopsy
Hello, I recently had a Thyroid scan on my Thyroid lump. Its bigger than I realised because there's more on the inside. I didn't even notice it initially and it was an Endo from the private list that did and suggested I have a scan. I managed to get the scan on the NHS using the 2 week wait pathway for

18 years with metastatic prostate cancer – operation number three, but no good news for me – the end game begins.
Well, it’s been a while since my last post, so I thought I’d provide an update. Last time round, I was coming to the end of my lutetium treatment which had produced disappointing results. Long story short, I decided to go ahead with the sixth cycle following a good psa reduction from the fifth treatment
