Help - BFN to BFP?

I need your opinion please friends! I tested on Thursday, my official test date, and had blood test done on Wednesday) and BFN. My clinics protocol is to test two days later before stopping meds. I did a urine test today and I think I can see a very very faint line. What’s happening??? Can you see a line? Should I worry that it’s so faint?

Update- blood tests today showed less than 1 for hcg, so it’s definitely a BFN. Thanks for everyone’s support today xx

Hi patches I definitely can see a very faint line. I dont think you should stop your medication but continue them. Hopefully it should get darker in 2 days time xx

Yeh I see a faint line too. Test again in 2 days, and see, then contact your clinic for another blood test maybe

I think you need to get in touch with your clinic and ask for another blood test, with another a couple of days later to see if the levels are rising. There definitely is a line there so there's something going on, but you need to be prepared that it may be a late implanter or it may not be good news given that it's so faint. (I'm cautious because when I was in a similar position, the originally very faint line turned out to be a sign something wasn't quite right with the embryo, which kept growing much too slowly and ended up miscarrying at 8 weeks. But there's no doubt that you have got a line.) Unfortunately I think the IVF rollercoaster still isn't over for you and you're going to have to wait a while, potentially quite a long while, to find out what's ultimately happened. Sending loads of good wishes and empathy, I know it's a really difficult and mindbending place to be xx

Thank you! I think that’s the fear, a few days ago I would’ve given anything for my BFN to turn into a BFP but now I’m just scared it’s going to turn into a bad ending...

Thank you Cinderella! 11dp5dt today following a FET. My clinics OTD is 9dp5dt. I really pray it’s a late implanter (is that a thing?) but I’m not getting my hopes up after my negative blood test earlier this week!

I had a late implanter, sadly we lost the pregnancy at 6 wks but we think that was due to low progesterone. Take each day as it comes!!🤞🏻xx

Hey patches, I can definitely see a faint line. Have you tried on any other sticks too? I wouldn’t risk stopping meds, just in case. Can your clinic do bloods again on Monday if line gets darker? How many days post transfer are you? Xxx

Thank you for your message! I haven’t tried any other sticks because I’m too nervous to be honest! 🥺 11dp5dt today. Getting bloods done given my history with an ectopic... 🙏🏼

Hi patches. Yes i see a line. 9dp5dt is quite early indeed. Did they not offer a second beta. I wouldnt stop my meds yet if possible and try to test in two days. Not sure if you drink alot in the evenings (i do) and my afternoon lines were always stronger. So try not to have lods of drinks before that morning test. Praying its a fighter xxxx

Thanks Mimi! I’m going to try my best to hold off testing again today myself. My clinic did a blood test for me this morning so I’m going to try and wait to see what comes of that 🤞

Hi there, I don't have any advice but really wanted to wish you luck. I hope your next test is a nice strong line. Squinters like that are the devil's work 😈 & so stressful. Wouldn't it be lovely if they all just showed the letters BFN or BFP!! Xx

Thank you! Tell me about it! I would’ve much preferred it to have just stayed stark white negative if it’s going to end unhappily...

Unfortunately blood tests were 0, so it seems to have been a faulty hpt maybe 😪

Really sorry about your BFN Patches, I’ve recently just had another bad outcome from my 5th attempt of IVF, if you don’t mind me asking- are you still under the Chelsea and Westminster? x
