Hi guys, I went to the clinic with 9 days late period and they did the urine test and it came negative, now I am 13 days late period and still negative. I did the test with clear blue, only the one with the blue lines, I didn’t do yet the one that says “pregnant” it “not pregnant” but I have it. I’m

Worried that my 17 year old daughter has colon cancer
I sadly lost my brother to bowl cancer in 2012. After months of being told that he had gastroenteritis or tummy bug. He was then made to feel that he was being a pest, so stopped speaking help. My brother was 40 when he died and only lived for 6 months after they found the stage 4 tumour. They never

I feel completely lost!!
I’m not sure if I’m in the right place as I haven’t even been diagnosed with anything but my mind is going into over drive and wanted some advice. I’ve been experiencing abdominal pain on/off since early November. It’s only on my right side and goes into my pelvic area, hip and back even up to my ribs

Confusion
One of the things most interesting about using this site is the variety of different experiences people have with the same problem, in my case bronchiectasis. I have been diagnosed for 12 years and see my consultant regularly. She is a bit unforthcoming and big on science. In that time I have had one

New drug for treating hot flashes under FDA review
This article appeared in Natl Geographic's online daily. Because it is behind a paywall, I have copied it below. While the drug is primarily intended for menopausal women, the article notes that future beneficiaries could include men taking drugs for prostate cancer. Is it possible to cure hot

Update on Mayo visit
-LA -beta 2-glycoprotein I (beta 2-GPI) -anticardiolipin antibodies (aCL) The one I do not have that is fairly new: antiphosphatidyl
serine
antibodies I did find out that I now have a positive Lupus marker, but without any symptoms for now...thankfully.

Urinary Retention
Hello, my dad (age 61) was diagnosed with stage 4 (Gleason 9) with multiple bone metastases back in September of 2022. We have since found out he is also BRCA2 positive with a germline mutation. He has just completed round 6 of docetaxel yesterday. He has been complaining of difficulty urinating now

Another cancelled Rheumy appointment - UPDATE
I decided to phone to Rheumy Nurse Helpline as I I was concerned about the 3 months gap between blood tests, due to cancelled appointments. She agreed this was too long and I now have an appointment for blood test tomorrow. She also told me that I should have had a phone call 3 weeks ago to give me

Progression
Have others experienced sudden worsening of symptoms without an apparent cause? My husband's decline has been slow but this morning all symptoms were much worse (blood pressure over 200 even when he was sitting up in bed, difficulty walking to the toilet, couldn't get urine to flow, shaky, confused

Tested 10dpt of 5 day blastocyst-negative result
Hi all I’ve just done x2 at home urine tests (clear blue and FR). I’m on day 10 of 2WW. The result on both tests was negative. I’ll continue to test up to OTD (Wednesday) and take meds…just wondering if this is too early and if there is still hope. I’ve researched outcomes to death this morning

Hi everyone. Just looking for support/advice. Not really sure what to do or where to go from here after being told I could possibly have endometriosis…and don’t know if it’s just all in my head 😩 I’m 26, basically in my teenage years I had horrible pain with my periods and they were so heavy. I used

Exhausted but happy.
I spent seven hours at the lung transplant clinic at Harefield yesterday. I was weighed and measured many times, sometimes with boots (dockers!) on sometimes off, ECG, echocardiogram, chest xray, blood tests, blood pressure test, lung function test, urine test, and finally mrsa test! Everone

PEG pain
All My Sue has had a PEG for near 5 years and it has been a life saver I am sure as I've maintained good food intake and therefore better health. She does get infections around the site and antibiotics and a saline wash cure this. However recently after an infection she started to complain about pain
