Bipolar diagnosis
So I’ve been diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 37. It really puts my life into perspective and my past makes much more sense. I had suspected this since I was like 20, even straight up asking if I had the disorder the first time I ever saw a psychiatrist but was incorrectly diagnosed with

Another day overwhelmed
These days I have noticed/realized that I get overwhelmed easy and the 2 main things are a dirty room and homework. When there is something in my room that is not put away it can sometimes lead to more things not being put away until my room is once again a mess but I often feel like I do not have

I hate living at home because my brother gets mad over everything and he reminds me of my dad, my dad used to be the same way, just getting mad out of nowhere and my brother has been doing the same thing. My mom and I are walking on eggshells around him, and I hate that feeling. My mom was telling me

Hi everyone just wondering how long side effects last when starting this medication? I started nortriptyline 4 days ago and I’m feeling really light headed dizzy not really “there” as such. It’s such a horrible feeling! Please tell me if this is a normal “adjusting” period and how long I’m in for or

New here
I am new here not sure how this is going to go. I have suffered from depression and anxiety and was recently diagnosed with ptsd for over half my life. I know the problems that make my issues worse but I am the type of person who avoids conflict so I can’t bring myself to say anything to my family it

Will I ever feel normal again
I was on Mirtazapine last year for 8 months. I successfully weaned off and was great until week 5. Then it all came crashing down. The anxiety and depression was bad again. My doctor wanted to try Lexapro, I only lasted two days. I was in bed with severe nausea. So I then was prescribed Buspar which

Switching meds
Granted a question for my GP but thought I would check here first instead of the busy phone calls I went from 10 Mg of Escatalopram because I thought it had run it’s course and was feeling fine but get a very heavy head and dizziness. I think it’s related to a chemical imbalance I have been on it for

Military Service related PTSD....Does it ever get manageable?
Over 50 years ago. I experienced a series of events that culminated in undiagnosed and misdiagnosed PTSD. At the time little was known about PTSD. It was thought to be only experienced by " Combat troops " Now it's well known that this is not necessarily the case. Also. Being a Blue Water sailor, the

Has anyone ever experienced this? i can't "feel" my heartbeat
Greetings guys. I am 25 year old male, experiencing this weird sensation of not feeling my heart beat. About a couple months ago, my heart randomly started to feel faint as if it weren't there. Obviously Its still beating or else, I'd be dead. However, Its been triggering my anxiety very much more these

TTC Month before FET
As the title says, I’m just wondering if it is safe to continue TTC prior to FET? I am due to ovulate naturally later this month, but approximately 7 days later on day 21 of my cycle (so therefore too early to test for pregnancy) I am due to start Buserelin as part of the down regulation for my FET.

Schizophrenia
There’s a movie I watched called Words On Bathroom Walls. I don’t know how accurate it portrays someone with the illness but it was interesting and sweet. I was thought to have had schizoeffective (schizophrenia with a mood disorder) but I believe it was psychosis from depression and mania. I could relate

So incredibly lonely, tired, willing to give up
42 , chronic fatigue since 4 years, terrible insomnia, longing for a relationship but anxiety and old childhood trauma keeps me from dating... and makes it feel impossible to get a connection in the future as well. Life is passing by which hurts extremely, my past is empty, not filled with beautiful

Struggling with others
So here's my situation: I currently live with 3 other roommates. We all have various mental illnesses and it's been hard for all of us as of late. 3/4 of us go to therapy, medicate, and are taking steps to try to improve our situation, but one of us is lagging a bit. She has borderline personality disorder

Apnea due to opioid use?
I read that one of the causes of central sleep apnea is opioid use. That puts the person at risk for stroke or heart issues. There apparently is no treatment for refractory RLS that doesn't have serious side effects. My question is this: Has anyone with RLS developed apnea as a probable result of opioids
