Couple of photos from Julie LVA treatment in Oxford done by Alex Ramsden and Dominic Furnis. xx
This was taken 2 days after my LVA surgery, I am now on day 5 and all good, feeling confident this has worked, I really hope so, I have my stocking on a toilet roll holder (not used I will add although I have put a plastic bag over the holder just in case, teehee) just to stretch it for when I put it

Everything just got a whole lot better
ECG normal, chest X-Ray shows everything is knitting together well and lungs are fully inflated, sternum stable,
scars
healed. I can start driving on Monday, I can stop taking two of the meds I was on (so now down to just 4 meds a day!) and I can stop using those bl**dy compression stockings.

What is exploding head syndrome?
Have just been surprised by an item on the Guardian newspaper website. Although probably off-topic, the number of weird-and-wonderful symptoms reported is huge. I can't honestly remember either of these being mentioned - but I could easily have missed them. And how awful if there were a thyroid connection

Young but not quite broken
The three two inch
scars
, raised above my chest: Its the metronome beneath my skin. _________ [line break]__________ Restrictions. Contradictions. Never quite the same. It's being stronger than you realise. It's knowing you're tougher than they think.

Lump under Laparoscopy scar
I had a Lap in January this year. I have noticed that I have a lump under the incision in my belly button. It doesn't hurt. But I am having combined surgery in December and don't want this to be a complication. Does anyone have any idea what this could be or is it normal scar tissue? TIA xx

Strange mark
Does anyone know what this is? I noticed it this evening because it was slightly itchy. It looks like a blood blister but is more red. I did have several bouts of severe eczema towards the end of last year and the beginning of this one and it was much worse on my legs than anywhere else. It's not sore

Esopghagectomy 3 months ago, 29 year old patient, what should my expectations be?
Then of course the drain tube
scars
. They had to spread my ribs to remove the tumor because of how big it was, they removed 2 of my drain tubes and let me home with 1 which stayed for another 3 weeks. I lost roughly 30 lbs during the process, going from 160 down to 130 (I stand 6ft1inches).

Handed my notice into work today...
If the medical required more then the problems would start, with the obvious
scars
and cuts on my arms from self harm. Maybe im just thinking too much, my moods are still all over the place i doubt that will ever change, but we shall see how this job will affect my mental state.

Chylothorax
I have had the letter in the post this morning that I have been waiting for. It is from my local hospital confirming that the biochemistry of the fluid in my chest is suggestive of a chylothorax. This means that fluid from my lymph system has been leaking into my pleural cavity. It usually happens

My cardiologist has just put me on Flecainide 75mg and Metoprolol 25mg twice daily as well as Physiotens 200mcg ( Monoxidine ) once daily. Hopefully they will stop my rapid AF episodes.

Scar on lung.
First I have heart and lung conditions amongst other condition. In the 90s I was diagnosed with Polycythemia and a scar on the lung, just a scar as far as I know. The Polycythemia hospital specialist said it was just the high point of normal. I was relieved as the treatment is not great, That is never
