Hair loss
I have really bad hair loss , scarring on my head and dermatologist has advised to see plastic surgeon which I did who has agreed to pull my scalp together and stitch it to cover scarring , seems drastic but in a strange way I'm scared but can't wait to get rid of these severe bald patches I've had for

Anyone out there with AF and WM had or waiting for catheter ablation?
Having had persistent AF for a year and then identified with Waldenstrome's Macroglobulinaemia in June '14, I await advice to establish the difficulties of catheter ablation. Hyperviscosity is 20 as the blood thickens. Anyone out there with the same problem?

Just being a drama queen?
I have posted on here so many times I'm sure most are familiar with whats going on with me! I recently had a laparoscopy where they found pelvic hyperaemia and a serious pelvic infection due to a popped cyst that they never drained. They put me on 2 weeks of strong painkillers and said within 2-3 days

I need help understanding FEV1/FVC
I was diagnosed with mild COPD a year ago. I've just had my third spirometry test. My FEV1 is still in the normal ranges but has declined by 6% over a years time. My FVC has declined by 12% over a years time but still in the normal ranges also. I brought up this decline to my nurse and she stated that

Have to wait 8 weeks for scan :(
I went for my appointment with the gyn on the 7th, thinking I would be having the ultrasound at same time, only to be told it was just an initial chat. She did a quick exam and asked a few questions and told me to buy some fybogel mebeverine for IBS and go back in 8 week for scan and to see her again

Pain meds
time I am currently on Arava and hoping it will work. In the meantime I take robaxisal for pain. GP gave me tylenol 3 but it does not work. Can anyone recommend a good pain reliever so I can at least go for walks. So fed up!

Wondering about FEV 1 counts....
Looking at my specs from my last visit a couple of months ago, it seems my readings are way below those experienced by many others I've read on this group at "HealthUnlocked"; my FEV 1 is given as 28% and FVC at 48%.... Many others here have posted readings in the 60s and a bit higher for FEV 1 and

I have just had open surgery on Thursday (28th Aug). I know I am just panicking about everything. My scar obviously looks bad at this stage and I know will get better. But what is worrying me is that it has a rid (like a small tire!) Is that just the swelling? please tell me that will go when the swelling

Scar tissue and pregnancy
