16 weeks - teething?
Hi, I'm new to this so hope I'm posting this right! My little boy will be 16 weeks old tomorrow. For the past few weeks he's been really chewing his hands and dribbling - we thought maybe it was the start of a long teething process, or maybe just normal baby development. Today when I was changing

Armour vs NP Thyroid
I moved over from levothyroxine & liothyronine to Armour around 15 years ago but then there were supply issues followed by increasing cost so I switched to Nature-Throid which has now been recalled. I do not have enough Nature-Throid left to last into the new year. I was planning to borrow some money

Consolidation run no 5
So I decided to go out this morning and try to run the full 5km after getting 4km+ under my belt. What a lovely morning. Frost of the cars 🚗 and coldest morning yet for me but great to see the sun 🌞 shine. I had to negotiate the children going to school, dog 🐶 walkers and lots of traffic on the

My short term partner doesn’t remember me after waking up from a 6 week coma
I was in a 4 month relationship with someone before they went into a 6 week medically induced coma following a TBI. Unfortunately only the next of kin are allowed to visit the patient. The NOK asked if they remembered me and they don’t remember me, or certainly not my name. I don’t know what to do, how

Canthoplasty ruined my face?
I had a canthoplasty with a mid face lift and eyebrow lift to support it 11 days ago. The results are horrible, to say the least. I know it’s still early days and I’m trying to be patient in the hope the everything starts looking more and more natural over the next month or two. Right now, I have a

I never knew how to make friends
Friendships have enormous benefits for quality of life and health, and although I felt quite comfortable with my current situation - don't really have anyone to spend my birthday with, but I have an excuse - I moved abroad alone, started a new life, my coworkers all have families, so no strong ties there

The "C" word
Now we are in December it is time for the "C" word - Christmas! Since my injury 8 years ago, the whilst many of my feeling and emotions have returned, any joy for Christmas seems absent. It used to be a huge event lights on the outside of the house, decorations in every room - even the bathroom!

Fermenting fibre?! Weaning baby...
Hi! I found you on my everlasting search for answers! My 10 month old has always had issues. I’m breastfeeding so he gets some Covid antibodies, but we’re both dairy free, he’s having a reaction to eggs and has had severe reflux 🥺 We think the reflux is under control but he still wakes many many 😫

Change of meds
Hi everyone, attempted a frozen cycle in August time, but my body did not like the burserline nose spray (not sure that’s how it’s spelt) and now we can try again from today, they’ve changed it to injections? Has anyone used it before? And did it make a difference? Not sure if I’m worrying about nothing

My dads severe pain with a Tracheostomy.. he is a covid patient, anyone else experienced this??
My dad has been in ICU with covid for 32 days and came out of his coma 7 days ago. He is still paralysed and obviously can’t talk because of the tracheostomy but he is completely fully aware of his surroundings, understands absolutely everything that is asked of him. We managed to understand that

Nefopam is evil....🤢
Hello After trying my best to fight my daily pain with paracetamol, I’ve finally had to give in and ask my GP for some help. I’ve also been prescribed some meds for anxiety too but I’ve only started today...that goes for the nefopam too. So...the prescribed dosage for the nefopam is 2 30mg tablets

Neurologist in Dallas who is open to opiates for RLS?
Long story short, I had a terrible experience with the neurologist I went to see earlier this year after trying to get off ropinerole due to lactation suppression and augmentation issues. Current neurologist just wants to keep increasing my dose of ropinerole, which I know is a recipe for disaster. Gabapentin
