I moved over from levothyroxine & liothyronine to Armour around 15 years ago but then there were supply issues followed by increasing cost so I switched to Nature-Throid which has now been recalled. I do not have enough Nature-Throid left to last into the new year. I was planning to borrow some money off my son and fork out the extra for Armour but have noticed that NP Thyroid by Acella is available on the US site that I purchase from. As a 2 grain bottle is £55 less I was wondering if anyone has any recent experience of Acella or should I just pay the extra and go with what I know even though I have not taken Armour for nearly 10 years.
Many thanks

I took NP Thyroid this year and I found the liothyronine to be very effective and potent. Within the hour I could feel it. I didn't get that effect with Nature-throid but maybe it's because if the problems they had with sub potency. NP uses less inactive fillers than Armour however I'm in the US and other users on the US forums claim Armour is still reliable. Taking NDT alone didn't work out for me due to the static doses of T4/T3 but I'm contemplating adding a little NP into my current Levo. Just note that NP does not try to cover up the smell of their pills so they are slightly pungent but it never bothered me because I don't make a habit of smelling them.
