Please can someone remind me what I need to stop taking before thyroid blood tests are carried out? I’m currently taking HRT transdermal oestrogen, DHEA tablets and progesterone tablets. I also started taking b vit complex, methylated folate, niacinimide, omega oils.
I’m undiagnosed currently but have been having symptoms for ages, have family history and new problems now like Raynuards, dizziness when standing up, poor appetite etc which I don’t feel are related to menopause. My recent bloods via Medichecks were normal range for thyroid but low end with TSH creeping up. My cholesterol’s above range now with 5 being the top, mine’s 5.5. I’m reading stuff on here so getting a picture that’s helping me understand. Just want to get the next blood tests right.

Thanks.

Sorry you haven't received a timely response. If your subsequent posts haven't given you an answer, then when testing thyroid hormones (unmedicated) it is advised to continues everything else as normal but stop biotin a few days previous to your test.
Thanks, draw was yesterday and have to do cortisol tests next but hopefully some answers to what’s going on with me and explanation for my myriad of weird symptoms soon.
