Covid/ Prednisolone
So after avoiding it for almost 3 years, Covid has finally struck. I tested positive on Tuesday. At present have a bad head cold, aches and pains and yesterday a high temperature. This evening a cough has started. My concern now is that in the first week of January I needed a 5 day course of prednisolone

pain relief for headache/sore throats after AF
hi all. I am new to this group. Pleased to join you all. I have just reverted back to sinus after 8 days in AF. This is the 3rd time in 6 months. Each time reverted back in about a week. Unfortunately this time I’ve gone back to sinus but have contracted a stinking cold/flu. Are there any pain killers

As you lovely people were so kind reassuring and helpful during my recent meltdown, I thought I’d let you know what happened today. Psych evaluation
Hi! This is for those of you who are either on the liver transplant list or who have had a transplant. What I'd like to know is whether you were given a psychological evaluation or a one-to-one conversion with a trained therapist as to how to deal with serious organ rejection should it occur.

Carbimazole side effects
My husband was prescribed Carbimazole 5 weeks ago. Since taking it has been taken a toll on him. Seeing a 58 year old slowly unfolding into an 80 year old. Can't eat/sleep, permanently cold and wears 4 layers plus heating on and still cold. GP (not his usual) contacted and said oh it's flu. I went into

So far in 2023: ashma flare, pneumonia, and a pulmonary embolism in my left lung. 🤷♀️
So far this year has been a rough time. I was diagnosed with another pulmonary embolism two weeks ago. Yesterday was told my asthma is really bad (in a flare since Christmas), and have pneumonia in my right lower lung. 🤷♀️ To make things worse, I can’t believe Ben take time off work because I have

Permanent Lung Scarring from Pneumonia
Does anyone on here have experience of permanent lung scarring (in this case caused by flu/bacterial pneumonia)? How long did it take for the scarring to develop or the extent to become known - was it months or weeks from onset of pneumonia? Some of you may have seen my other post about my dad currently

Pneumonia Recovery
Hi. My dad is currently in ICU with pneumonia (caused by triple whammy of flu, Strep A and staph) - been there 6 weeks, 4 of them on a ventilator/trachy. Was previously fit and healthy - no underlying conditions or hospital admissions so the severity was a total shock for us all. He was due to move
