Advanced/end of life stage
She has advanced
renal
failure
which the dr has repeated blood tests for. I have said that it would be too distressing to move mum to hospital to be poked and prodded around at this stage of her life.

Is diabetes really a killer disease ???
People die either of
renal
failure
,heart disease, hypertension or brain stroke ! As a matter of fact diabetes is not even a disease . It is a disorder,a metabolic disorder. How can a disorder be killing? At best it is a nuisance. More so when it is a man made disease.

Non-Drinker had an episode of atrial fibrillation and ended up needing a Cardioversion
Hi I have some questions. I am a non-drinker, only once in a blue moon will have a glass of champagne. However a couple weeks back I went to a party and decided to drink that evening. I had 3 mai tai's and ended up in the ER the next morning. My blood pressure was 70/47 and my heart rate got up

Deterioration
Today the nurse told me that the dr had been and said that her blood tests show she is now in
renal
failure
, he will repeat blood test in 2 weeks. She's very tired now and speech is also deteriorating, she no longer watches the tv which she has always loved. I feel she cannot see very well either.

Heart rate shoots up when exercising
I am 53 years old and have consistently exercised most of my adult life. Last year I briefly went into afib during a stress test. A follow up 30 day monitor showed seversl more additional brief afib episodes after briskly walking for 20 minutes or so. In the worst of them, I physically collapsed and

ANA positive?
A little confused about my ANA test. Result says positive. Flag for abnormal. Reference interval - negative? Does tgis mean it's positive? BC my dr didn't explain and she just kind of brushed me off...again. Rashes still pop up randomly every day. And tired. So tired of being tired. : (

Ibuprofen – just because it’s freely available, doesn’t make it safe
This can result in gastric ulcers and bleeds, increased blood pressure, decreased kidney function and
renal
failure
, heart failure and cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and stroke.

I did have AF despite no one believing me
I was admitted to hospital recently with suspected heart failure. Whilst in the hospital the cardiologist responded to my concern about that I could feel my heart skipping a beat and then fluttering, that this was just an ectopic beat. Nothing to worry about. However, my wonderful GP booked me in

Need a Opinion
I am suffering from Diabetic condition for last eight years. I was reasonably controlling the situation with Metformin 1000 mg 1 tab and Diamicron MR 60 mg 2 tabs / day until last year. Currently my HBA1C is not within the required range, it is increasing from around 7 to around 8.4 ( last year) Otherwise

My husband has PKD and is in
renal
failure
. Turns out, you can now donate no matter if your a match, as you are able to basically swap/pool organs with other people in need. I desperately want to help my husband in whatever means possible. Need lots of motivation!!
