I had a Craniotomy procedure 10 months ago I still have the right side of my scull exposed awaiting reconstructive surgery

My head seems to swell quite a bit at the moment again where it’s exposed does anyone else have this problem

Hi Jodie,

I had the left side of my skull removed in France 10yrs ago and it took me just over 4mths to get it replaced with titanium. As you may expect I was given a protective cap to wear if I was going on walks outdoor.

Hi , yes the same thing happens to my son ,not sure why. He is still awaiting op to put ceramic plate over bone flap it has been 2 yrs now and still waiting for date . I hope they don't leave you so long ,best wishes

Oh no 2 years that not good thank you for replying I guess it’s time to get used to it then! Just really puts a barrier in the way to get on and find someone to ignore the situation and go away to my life abroad. Where do you live? Maybe I stand more chance not in the uk

We are in Berkshire,so yes you might have better luck somewhere else,it's a shame as you can't get on with life,he has been given lots of promises then before you no it 2 yrs have passed and still nothing, soul destroying. I wish you all the best
