How painful should a flare get?
I am quite new to RA and seem on an even keel most of the time but get occasional sharp flares that leave me very weak. Last weekend I had a serious flare in my left shoulder, radiating to chest cavity. It began, as they usually do with me, during the night, and by 3am I was passing out with the extreme

Shall I Raise T4?
Hi guys! I hope you are all safe and well! RAI 2014 for Graves - became hypo and been unwell since. Been on 125mcg levo for years. I tried T3 under guidance of a professor to no avail. He said he could do no more for me so out of desperation I asked for a trail of liquid levothyroxcine however this

IBS back pain and pain killers
When my. IBS has flares up it aggravates my back problems. I used to manage the back pain with pain killers and anti inflamatories. I think the latter are why IBS got bad. I am now in extreme pain and paracetamol is not doing mu h on its own. Codeine usually leads to constipation which also affects

'I'm tired all the time'
Well, I never saw this coming! Love Island isn't the most common topic here. I think many here will have some understanding of Demi's state. [i]

No Longer on Medication
Not sure what happened.... About two years ago, NatureThroid began to (what I know now) start to be too much / overdosing. TSH was still climbing, but increasing dosage caused tremendous chest / heart pains. Not surprisingly Doctor said “it’s because we don’t know how much T3 and how much T4 is in

Do anyone have any advice or success stories of HEALING A THYROID NATURALLY?
I'm 42 and I was diagnosed with Sjogren's, Hashimoto's and Graves 4.5 years. My T4 was only slightly elevated and after a friend recommended I saw a homeopath (who gave me some awful brown solution) my TSH came back to life and back in to normal range after 7 months. Despite my thyroid bloods remaining

Pain
Hi I’m under investigation for PCOS. I’ve been put on the progesterone only pill so I’ve stopped bleeding, however I’m still getting agonising pain in my groin and the worst cramping. Has anyone else had this? Is there anything other than paracetamol and codeine that I can take? (Can’t take anti inflammatory

Feeling dreadful
I was diagnosed with Graves early 2017. I got back on an even keel and was in remission for 18 months but out of the blue had a thyroid storm in July 2020. I've been on Carbimazole, Propranolol and Apixaban since then. I haven't actually seen an Endo at all. I was diagnosed when in hospital in July

Getting stronger
Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks I have been home. I have had a fantastic follow up by a cardiac nurse, who gave me a right bollocking. Firstly for doing too much walking and for not taking the right amount of pain killers. I am now doing 2x15 min walks and started the full paracetamol and codeine dosage.

Graves or Hashimoto’s or something else??
So I have over the years, and recently, had elevated TPO antibodies, tons of hyper/hypo symptoms and blood tests that fluctuate. My TSH is often low and even out of range and occasionally my Free Ts have been out of range high. I’ve always assumed I had hashimoto’s but never been bad enough on bloods

Severe iodine deficiency & Hashimoto's
Hi all, I'm still struggling after 3+ horrible years. I have Hashimoto's and a really bad doctor took me off all meds for 2 years (2019 and 2020) and labs barely stayed in range (TSH around 3.5 (.4 - 4/5), Free T4 around 1 (.8 - 1.7) and Free T3 around 2.8 (2 - 4.4). I literally thought I was going

Broken and Lost - awaiting urgent hysterectomy at 34
Today broke me!! My surgeon phoned for an over the phone consult (thanks covid) if you know my story I’ve been waiting since 2017 for a hysterectomy due to stage 4 or as I call it decimated stage Endo. I haven’t even met him in person since I was ‘urgently’ referred Nov 19! And he’s called twice both
