Surprising TRT research results in PCa patients
I’ve been researching the implications of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as it relates to the odds of biochemical recurrence with prostate cancer. I went down this path because my prostatectomy surgeon, who is very well respected in the field (200+ papers) and has performed over 5000 surgeries

Next step options after lupron/zytiga failed
I have been on monthly Lupron for 7 years (starting in 2014) after the spread of prostate cancer to my bones following a prostatectomy in 2014. Lupron alone was very effective until December 2021. I then added Zytiga/Prednisone which had worked well. But current (June 2024) scans show substantial disease

Large Prostate more difficult to remove ?
In 2013 I had robotic prostatectomy. My prostate was quite large, volume 130ml, size 7.43x5.61x5.97cm. As a result, prostate was removed in two pieces, no seminal vesicles where removed and path: "pT2c bilateral, pNx, GL 4+3 Tertiary 5, EPE not identified, SUV not identified". I understand, pNx means

ED medications for assistance with incontinence recovery
2 months post Robotic daVinci prostatectomy. Non nerve sparing. Will Viagra or other ED meds help with incontinence issues along with Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy? Still mostly incontinent. Found and using a penile clamp 2-3 hours at a time for training the bladder to fill and empty. Appreciate

Getting head around what to expect
I like to have facts. In times of stress I think Facts are our friend. Better to be prepared, mentally, physically, financially, with support systems, etc.. so looking for any insights as to what I should expect and prepare my husband, myself and my kids/family for in the weeks and months, years ahead

Hi! We’re beginning to research facilities for second opinions, next step guidance to supplement what we’re learning from our local doctor. My husband is BRCA2 positive, had a prostatectomy, salvage radiation and now his PSA is starting to creep back up. I know it’s too early to take additional treatment

radiation treatment delayed
2 years since prostatectomy. Psa still non detectable. Will get it checked again in 6 months or 1 year depending on urologist suggestion. I feel blessed since standard protocol was radiation to the pelvic area had 6 Month Lupron shot since they found positive pc in limp nodes and tissue extracted.
