Prostate specific antigen (PSA) recurrence—defined as a PSA level higher than 0.2ng/mL—occurs in 20 to 50 percent of all radical prostatectomy cases. 18F-DCFPyL PSMA PET/CT detected disease in 46.9 percent of patients compared to 15.5 percent on diagnostic CT. Major changes in the treatment plan were more likely to occur after PSMA imaging (12.5 percent) than after CT imaging (3.2 percent), and moderate changes were noted in 31.3 percent of patients after PSMA imaging versus 13.7 percent after CT imaging.

I assume this wouldn’t be limited to RP patients with a significant rise in PSA after treatment. I’d planned on PSMA PET/CT if I have suspected recurrence post RT 4 years ago as my PSA has been inching up rather than down. Don’t know about the tracer options though. Good article, thanks.
