Scott's PSA, when pet scans were scheduled had jumped from .19 in July to .27 Sept 8. On the day of the first pet scan it had jumped to .49. PSMA scan found bone metastasis 4 ribs and left hip bone. The choline pet scan found further spot on right hip bone, and several retroperitoneal lymph nodes, and left external iliac lymph node. We are still discussing treatment options. ( Historically, diagnosed January 2018 PSA 13, Gleason 8, tertiary pattern 5, at prostatectomy in March 2018. Post surgery Persistent PSA, UCLA Psma pet scan found one lymph node. Salvage radiation and short term ( 6 months) lupron in September 2018-2019. )

I am surprised the Choline PET/CT found these lesions at that PSA value. Is this an improved version they are testing now?
Time for the bigger guns: docetaxel and Zytiga.
Even though his PSA appears to be very low at <1.0?
Thank you. Yes - very low psa but moving fast. Perhaps that is why it was visible in both the Psma scan and choline. ? Although his was also visible in first Psma scan 2 years ago again at low psa - so that seems to be typical of this cancer’s characteristics.
