I have
PsA

Metformin and rosuvastatin
3 years ago I was diagnosed with unfavorable Gleason 7, with an initial
psa
of 6.4. Three months later I had an RP and have been undetected since. This week I started taking metformin for high sugar levels, I have also been on first atorvastatin and now rosuvastatin for 3 years.

Abiraterone and Breathlessness
Meanwhile, my
PSA
continues to be <0.1. I should point out that going back on half a dose of Abiraterone has shown little improvement in the breathlessness, and it is certainly a lot higher than the level when I first tried Diltiazem with 500mg of Abi.

Rapidly Rising PSA
I was originally deemed to have a non-aggressive cancer (in 14 years my
PSA
has never exceeded 4.1) However, over the last 6 weeks (when I have been on no treatment whatsoever, other than 3 monthly injection) my
psa
doubled in 3 weeks (4 - 11) and doubled again in 3 weeks (11-22).

liver biopsy- what does it mean.
Immunohistochemical stains demonstrate tumor cells are positive for NKX3.1,
PSA
, TTF-1 and focally for CK20, while negative for CK7. This immunoprofile is most consistent with metastatic poorly differentiated prostatic adenocarcinoma.

treatment or no treatment?
To date I have elected not to be treated but instead have been monitoring my
PSA
levels. Originally this was 6 now 15. I am 66 with no symptoms and no other health issues.

Obtaining EpiSwitch PSE
The test uses
PSA
along with several genetic markers for prostate cancer detection, which is a marked improvement over 4K in specificity. Does anyone have info on getting the test? It's newly available as of mid September. Info at 94percent.com

8/4/2023 Update
HOWEVER, 5/23
PSA
went UP to 0.343 and 8/4/23 now 1.46 at my PCP physical. Have MO appt 8/16 which includes another
PSA
check but looks to me like another PET scan and/or Xtandi. I would appreciate any thoughts from all of you to better prepare me for my 8/16 appt.

My

went down to .5 from 6.0 after cyberknife. Six months later it is back to 1.0 should I be worried?

Update
Just got my blood test results: Testo less 0.1 ng/ML and
PSA
still undetectable. Tomorrow I’ll receive my next 3-month Lupron shot, which will finalize my 24-month ADT after prostate bed and whole pelvic radiation.

How soon after taking 4 month eligard shot can you switch to firmagon?
The treatment worked fantastic and all my pain faded away and my
psa
dropped from 350 to .09 over 11 months. My life was as near normal as can be expected with cancer. Almost immediately my MO was recomending to switch to 4 mo eligard.

My story of my 23 year battle with Pca.
Psa
climbed to 19.14 on Sept. 5. Alp was 141. Abi was started Sept. 9 and on Oct. 3 my
Psa
was 4.74 and alp dropped to 114. Other numbers normal so far however wbc was elevated slightly which is probably due to prednisone.
