Low PSA levels are associated with greater prostate cancer-specific mortality among men with a Gleason score of 8 to 10

Conclusions: Among patients with high-grade disease, patients with PSA levels ≤ 2.5 ng/mL or PSA levels of 2.6 to 4 ng/mL appear to have a higher risk for cancer-specific death in comparison with patients with PSA levels of 10.1 to 20 ng/mL, and this supports the notion that low PSA levels in GS 8-10

Newly diagnosed advance prostate cancer

Received my first PSA after RP today. Pre PSA was 7.1 but after my surgery my PSA 23. Has anyone had any experience with this. This is really confusing to me.

68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT scan again. I forgot the prerequisites for qualifying.

August 2019 PSA 14.393... Dec 2019 PSA 1.100 ... Aug 2021 PSA 0.126 ... Dec 2021 PSA 0.156 and this years PSA Feb 24th 0.300 .. So Dec '2021 till Feb 2022 my PSA doubled. I am not on Lupron and only one Abiraterone tab daily due to cardiac toxicity and arrhythmia issues.

PSA seems stuck around 1.0 while on Orgovyx and Nubequ

After a few months experimenting with Nubeqa as a monotherapy, and seeing PSA climb to around 4.0, I added Orgovyx to the mix. Initially PSA dropped to 1.07, but after several months of daily orgovyx and Nubeqa, PSA seems "stuck" in the 1.0 range.

PSA Bounce, Any Suggestions?

So, assuming that all 48cc is functional, my PSA density would be .08.

Why would PSA drop now?

His PSA consistently went up the entire time he was on chemo. Why would his PSA drop now? Is this common? It just doesn’t make sense to me.

PSA rising

His PSA was 100.4 when he started treatment. He had a TURP and found the cancer. My question is can he start having side effects after being on ADT for 2 years. His PSA started to rise in 4/20/21. He had a PSA of .44 and last visit was 3.35 which was 03/28/2022.

Reduced cancer-specific survival of low prostate-specific antigen in high-grade prostate cancer

Conclusions: Patients with a PSA <4.0 ng/ml had poorer the prostate cancer-specific survival (PCSS) than patients with a PSA 4.0-10.0 ng/ml. Similar PCSS was found in patients whose PSA levels were 10.1-20.0 ng/ml in patients with GS 9-10 prostate cancer. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32109649/

PSA blip

Hi Everyone, It’s been awhile and DC has been doing great and his PSA has been coming down nicely. He’s on Lupron-3, Zytiga & Prednisone. He got his blood results back yesterday and his PSA blipped a bit by 0.5 ; from 5.6 to 6.1. Is that a normal occurrence this early in his journey?
