If PSA rises when one is on ADT does it always mean resistance or can it be only a particular met growing ?
I see some posts here mention that some people had a
psa
rise and then got some met radiated and
psa
went down again. So one is on hormone therapy and
psa
rises , it does not necessarily mean one is getting castrate resistant ? Just trying to educate myself 😊

PSA rising
I had spot radiation in June for olio metastatic (2 spots),
PSA
was .036. In Aug
PSA
went down to .028. Now it’s .031. Does this mean the radiation of the 2 spots did not work? How long should I wait before ADT?

The prognostic value of ultrasensitive PSA test
In Sweden (and Finland) we never (or selldom) have ultrasensitive
PSA
testing so the lowest
PSA
is < 0.1 or ’undetectable’.

Two months ago, husband’s

prostate cancer that does not produce psa
My dad’s
PSA
has always been low, so when he was diagnosed, we were very shocked. His team checks his
PSA
, although PSMA have been more telling for him. His
PSA
today is the highest it has ever been at 17. His last PSMA was better than the one before.

PSA not covered by Medicare
Is it true Medicare only pays for one
PSA
per year? This is my first year, getting
PSA
every 3 months after radiation, kinda surprised to see they didn’t pay

PSA 0,100
my Hubby had recently another
PSA
done to provide the Heidelberg Clinic info for the Proton Program. I just don’t understand those numbers, they keep changing, 3 months ago, it was from 0,05 to 0,07, now it shows 0,100. Are there different tests?

If PSA decreases in MHsPC but ALP increases , is one still castrate sensitive ?
I know that
PSA
decreasing or remaining steady while on hormone therapy means one is hormone sensitive but if

Suggestions?
PSA
became measurable about 2 yrs ago. Largest tumor, which appeared to be the culprit for the rise was radiated and
PSA
became undetectable again. The last 16 months have seen my
PSA
measure: .05 .06 .06 .09 .14. .17 and then .20 a few days ago.

My
PSA
has gone down to .26 so it’s moving in the right direction . My oncologist wants to hold off on ADT until
PSA
start rising. I know a cure is out now and it’s just a matter of time before it’s all over. Any advice or thoughts.

Provenge for Hormone Sensitive Men
However, in the lowest tranche of starting
PSA
, the median survival increase was 14 months. Keep in mind that even that lowest
PSA
group had a relatively high
PSA
at the time of treatment. I think it was something in excess of 10.

Sad & Scared
At the time he
PSA
was 47. After treatments began his
PSA
progression was 47—32—18 We were so encouraged. After his 3rd Infusion today, his
PSA
went up to 19.2 I know it is only slight but yet not going downward. Does this mean he has potentially reached nadir with this treatment?
