First PSA test and got PSA Free % of 25

I Just had my frist PSA screening done and got borderline results: PSA: 0.4 PSA Free: 0.1 PSA Free%: 25. Any thoughts on how concerned I should be about the PSA Free% of 25?

Treatment Options PSA Increasing While on Lupron

Should another ADT like Zytiga be added if PSA continues increasing by a small amount? Say to 0.40. Or should I wait until PSA rises considerably. If PSA shows sign of going down, should I continue only with Lupron until PSA is undetectable (<0.1)?

PSA < 0.1

Not <0.1, then you would know what your PSA number really is.

ART Management BCR : PSA n PSA Doubling Time Feb23 Commentary

Most important was not PSA but PSA doubling time. PSA doubling time 15 months, The conclusion is that PSA doubling time must be considered along with PSA to determine when men should be scanned. Once PSA is at 2.0 ng/mL, 100% of men are positive.

PSA Question

I updated my husbands profile to show his PSA went from -- 2.08 in January to... 1.73 in February 1.77 in March 1.78 in April His next test is 6/6. It has never gotten lower than 1.24 back in December of 2022. Is it normal for some people to not have an extremely low PSA?

PSA from secondary deposits!

I had a radical prostatectomy in 2012 and my PSA levels until about a year ago were undetectable. I was then on annual PSA blood tests, but now they have put them up to 3 monthly as the PSA has risen, although still very low at around 0.2 .

Declining psa

I also met w my mo today n let him know what I was doing n he suspected something was going on when he saw my testosterone back up to 500 but the psa only to 1.53 n spiraling 🌀 downward, when in the past psa would go to 6 after test returned.

Xtandi (enzalutamide) alone is superior to ADT alone at preventing metastases in "high-risk" recurrent men

"High-Risk"recurrence was defined as men who have had primary therapy (prostatectomy or radiation) but have had rising PSA but no detectable (on bone scan/CT) metastases yet and T≥150 ng/dl, and: • PSA doubling time ≤ 9 months, or • PSA≥ 1 ng/ml post-prostatectomy, or • PSA≥ nadir+2 ng/ml post-primary

Lycopene

After my brachytherapy my PSA start to increase (0.18). I started including tomato paste (high in lycopene) in my morning breakfast smoothie (about 2 oz). My next PSA was 0.09. Will have another PSA in about a month and see what is happening. Best wishes

Infection or Cancer?

Have another uro appointment in 2 days where I assume I’ll have another PSA test. Questions: is an increase in PSA from 1.23 to 18.2 in 8 months better explained by infection or cancer? can PSA related to cancer go down?

Treatment Update

My PSA remained nearly constant at 0.30. 10/17/22 0.286 1/20/23 0.321 4/24/23 0.294 If PSA has gone even by small amount, my MO would have ordered PSMA CT scan. Is it advisable to have the scan now because PSA has not decreased significantly.
