Info about docetaxel
I have been at Stage 4 for 7 1/2 years. and a succession of Xtandi, Nubequa, and Zytega along with Lupron has kept my
PSA
under two although each has eventually failed (
PSA
quickly rising above 1.0).

Still confused about PSA and Testosterone testing
Am I missing something in the relationship between
PSA
and testosterone levels? Thanks.

Radiation PSA, Orgovyx, Bone density Update
Rouge clone radiation on 10/31/23 has
PSA
from 4.83 on 11/20/23 to 0.85 on 12/18. HOWEVER,
PSA
up to 1.85 on 1/29/24. Disappointing to say the least I see MO next week and presume we start the Plarify scan to identify source and possibly more radiation to kill it.

A 4 Year Journey
In May 2022 my
PSA
began to steadily rise from undetectable for past 2 years, to 0.10 over a 2 month time period. Had 20 sessions of radiation to the prostate bed (aka-fossa) without ADT in August/September 2022 . My
PSA
was again undetectable until May 2023, when it rose to 0.19.

Radium 223 offered
What can we expect, as I have read that Radium 223, does not take
PSA
down.If this treatment 'kills the Cancer cells' then I don't understand why
PSA
dosn't fall ? Could be offered more chemo, after Radium. So is Radium 223 worth having ?

PsA diagnose
I'm told I have
PsA
now and not PMR. On prednisone and MTX. 20 mg methotrexate and reducing prednisone down to now 14 mgIs having
PsA
mean that what I read on this forum for PMR not meaningful? This forum is so informative.

3,100 PSA!
After two (2) Pluvicto infusions, my
PSA
went from 2,000. to 3,000. I haven't had any hormone treatments for approximately six months, and was subsequently told my Dr. should have kept me on Standard of Care (SoC) right through Pluvicto.

BAT treatment
Unfortunately
PSA
has doubled, so going to try a reverse approach suggested by our Urologist. John Hopkins was the study trial location. Hubby would be our urologist first patient to try this. See if you can find the article on line if interested in reading.

Treatment awaited
I have not posted before as I have been a silent member without any worrying ongoing elevations in
PSA
for about four years. I have keenly observed the posts of members and learned a good deal from them. This post is the follow up on my history post.

psa risen 3 points since diagnosis. Does it mean cancer spread?
His
psa
from April which was 11.4 today was 14.3. I’m hoping this doesn’t mean the cancer is spreading. Could there by other reasons for the jump of 3 points in 2 months. TIA.

What are my options?
Wondering why Pluvicto was discontinued (
PSA
did go down a little but no remarkable change) and what the rapid rise in
PSA
now might mean. Have a CT scan scheduled soon and probably a PSMA soon but it is nto scheduled yet. Too many doctors not enough communication.

Maybe because of "careful" patient selection, but still great: PSA Undetectable in First Patient Cu-67 SAR-bisPSMA
"The first patient with prostate cancer dosed with 2 cycles of 8GBq of 67Cu-SAR-bisPSMA has reached undetectable prostate specific antigen (
PSA
) levels using PET" https://www.targetedonc.com/view/

Old Guy Update
My
PSA
at that time was undetectable and my Testosterone was also undetectable. It’s now July 2024, and my
PSA
is 0.2 and my Testosterone is 10. I have no recognizable symptoms of PCa, no blood in urine, no pain, no incontinence, but occasional urgency to urinate.

4th line palliative systemic options?
Monthly
PSA
blood work is done and this month
PSA
jumped to 29. Oncologist is sending hubby for another Bone and CT scan. She has suggested either abiraterone, clinical trials or cabazitaxel. He was on Xtandi for 15 months, then Chemo and last treatment was Radium 223.

All
PSA
testing from oncologist has ranged from .04 to .05. Why not have my internist take my
PSA
yearly? Or is going to my oncologist for testing the better way to go?
