ADT "vacation" terminology questions
Do you wait for rising
PSA
or a fixed time to go by? What about when one has oligometastatic mHSPC? How many posters here who are or were on ADT "vacations" did so by their own request or by MO's orders?

About Radiation After Radical Prostatectomy
Do they use radiation as a tool to bring
psa
down in metastatic men? and or radiation is only used as palliative for bones and pain?

Xtandi is failing
I had a 2nd scare in April/May 2022 when my
PSA
rose to 39 and was doubling every 3 months. I started Xtandi in about May 2022 and got to 0.08 in a few months but
PSA
is increasing at a rate of around 10 times every 3 months and is now 8.7; that is concerning.

My story so far.....Steely_Dan
PSA
last month stood at 0.008. 8.5 years and counting, guess I'm lucky. Approximately one year after DX I decided I needed something to keep me going so after much nudging the Manhattan Community College accepted me.

Stempede with Ogrovyx + Abi.
Now, 9 years later my
PSA
went from .4 to .9 in 12 months. PSMA Scan shows a 5mm spot on a small pelvic node. No MRI or CT would have found this! Dr's. starting me on Org., 28 days of Radiation and Abi. The whole hormone therapy part has me spooked.

Xgeva side effects?????
I'm on Trelstar and my
PSA
is < 0.04. In March of this year I started taking Erleada. The side effects from both drugs have been minimal, some hot flashes and fatigue. Two months ago my doctor started me on Xgeva. The first dose I felt no ill effects, but the next dose kicked my butt.

UPDATE: PSA doubled, MO has had little input
If you don’t recall, my dad’s
PSA
had gone up from 1.66 to 3.44 in about 2 months. His testosterone also went up from 6 ng/dL to 17. His MO did not speak to him about this nor did she check back at the results.

SARMs - RAD 140 update
Most recent
PSA
0.02 I think I can safely conclude that RAD 140 use caused my
PSA
to increase.

Update on my PSA from 100 to 3.9 on Casodex and Lupron
My
PSA
came down from 100 to 3.9 in 30 days. I’m sure someone here will find a way to rain on my parade. The attached chart is my updated
PSA
, including today. Today I had my second Lupron injection after 30 days of Casodex and Lupron.

Advice for next steps for 82 year old dad
Upon diagnosis his
PSA
was 257 and he had a single lymph node found to be involved. He had chemo and started on lupron + bicalumatide. In 2020 the medicine began to fail and he had provenge and started on Xtandi. Now his Xtandi is failing.

Orgovyx and stage four
My
PSA
has been at .6 after Cyberknife on my L2. I am trying to get assistance but in the meantime I started taking it every other day and Dr Oscar Goodman said that is ok. I have not taken it in 4-5 days. I have 4 pills left. Am I playing with fire?

Question
I also don't know if this is in response to her seeing the blood test results earlier than I did...which indicated, sadly, that his
PSA
jumped from 1.09 to 6.92. Are xrays ever done for those who can't tolerate scans?

Low PSMA-avid tumorload (safe metastases) relative to
PSA
level. Secondary findings: Saccular thoracic aortic arterism 4.4cm
PSA
is 10,1. approx. 3 months doubling time. They will inform me on Monday if next step will be surgery or radiation. What is the opinion of the members, knife or beams?

Docetaxel efficacy
Hi All Three months after finishing docetaxel my husband’s
PSA
has risen from 0.3 to 3.4, which the oncologist tells us indicates that the cancer cells are active again, although he’s booked him for a PSMA PET scan to confirm this.

Need More Energy
My
PSA
and scans are undetectable and I don't want to take anything that would jeopardize that. I'm 72 years old. I know this may sound petty to some but golf has been my life. It's what I do.
