mCRPC end of ADT--staying the course.
The MO brought in the
PSA
test and said it was time to start considering a treatment change and the next steps were chemo and there was also Pluvicto. What happened in the following 20 minutes was both shocking and stressed the importance of reading the book and asking the correct questions.

RISING PSA 2 YEARS POST EBRT/ADT
Dr told me that we weren’t going to worry unless/ until
PSA
hits 2.0 but I’m definitely worried now and Don’t know what to make of the plunging T level! Any advice/ information would be greatly appreciated!

Any Data or MO Advice Regarding Dutasteride / Finasteride At Very Early Biochemical Recurrence?
It's obviously going to slow
PSA
doubling time and thereby probably lengthen the time to when you would pull the trigger on radiation. I know studies have shown they do not increase Prostate Cancer Specific Mortality (PCSM).

Could PSA of 3.0 be a problem?
He was recently contacted by their hereditary cancer clinic and advised that his
PSA
had increased to 3.0 from from last years 2.5. They felt that's a little high for his age and are going to call him in for an MR and a new
PSA
test. Is this any cause for concern?

First post and learning as much as possible
He is currently just finished his # 3 round of 6 rounds of chemo ( docetaxel )and so far his
PSA
is going down and side effects have been doable. This recent news about BRCA2 is upsetting and we were told they would be having a genetic specialist calling soon and all family will be tested .

What Helps Me With Hypochondria
For example, I had a slightly elevated
PSA
. This is only an issue if 1) it is actually cancer, 2) the cancer is aggressive (most grow very slowly), 3) it doesn't respond to treatment and 4) removal doesn't solve the problem. I have a statistics background, so this approach has really helped me.

Decision Xtandi or radiation
PSA
dropped then started rising, 9/23 scan showed SUV uptake 28.4 at ischium.
PSA
4.2 Local radiologist is concerned that radiating ischium close to the acetabulum could cause bone damage.

3months Post-HD Brachytherapy
Yesterday checked my first
PSA
, 0.8. ( was 7 at treatment). I really enjoyed the experience, crazy as that sounds, due to the doctors, PA, nurses, techs, even the secretaries. They were all so nice & friendly. Can’t recommend them enough.

What category of Intermediate Risk Am I?
PSA
13.1 in July 23 and 14.32 Nov 23. 36cc prostate, normal DRE, Grade 2, biopsy 6 out of 15 samples positive. - 9 mm, 5 mm, 1.3 mm - although MRI was 14 mm. Even if I were UIR, the mean benefit of HT with RT (it will be IMRT) mean overall survival was only 0.7 years longer with ADT.

PSA for PCa Awareness month
There's an App called Nextdoor and they're pretty much in all the cities, even this lil town. I posted on it for men to get screened as a Public Service Announcement for PCa Awareness Month. Many don't know that it's in September, but a whole lot more know that October is Breast Ca Awareness month.

Medical OR chemical castration
PSA
increasing monthly so I will try other chemicals. I want to remain in good shape until my number is up. My question is should I get medical castration to reduce the side effect of extended ADT injections or continue with the ADT. Does medical have less side effects?

I am about to start ADT and salvage radiation in 2 months (
PSA
0.052) . So in mean time I was going to check him out and wondered if anyone who does a ton of research has heard of him?

Enhancing my urinating experience?
This, coupled with rise in
PSA
, triggered my oncologist to order both MRI and PSMA scan. Would appear things are progressing and got referrals to radiation oncologist and urologist. Met first with urologist who strongly recommends scheduling a TUAP procedure.

prostrate cancer growth
Mine was discovered through annual
psa
testing with standard bloodwork. I went from 2.4 to 7.6 in 12 months. I decided on RP after biopsy and PMSA scan which showed it contained with seminal vesicles invasion. That was in June 2023.
