Is my cancer castrate resistant?
From July 2022 until now I have been on continuous Lupron because
PSA
refused to become undetectable. From July 2022 until August 2023 my
PSA
hovered around 0.3. Then, from August 1 to November 1 (today)
PSA
jumped from 0.30 to 0.80 with a
PSA
doubling time less than 3 months.

PSA Numbers and 3rd Round of Docetaxel
Before each session they do a blood runup...my
PSA
was .77 before session 2, and .68 before session 3. I was .56 before ANY chemo (but on lupron of course) So, my question is should my
PSA
be dropping right off the map or not?

No more enzalutamide: docetaxel next up
PSA
up to 3.9 but it’s worked for 3.5 years. Also got a new lesion in my thoracic spine so in addition to docetaxel, a single dose of radiotherapy. Hope that will all be underway within a couple of weeks.

Rickyfish56 "Introduction"
PSA
in Sept. 2023 was Undetectable. I run 4.5 miles three times a week, casual 2x week weight lifting, trying to get more intense. 12 Grandkids, 1 more on the way, kinda busy, LOL! Feel great, no known side affects, so far.

Concern - At 4 mo on Lupron/Abi, Testosterone hits 40
While
PSA
was again <.1 yesterday, testosterone jumped to 40 ng/dl or 1.4 nmole/L, which is a big move toward the 1.7 danger zone for faster movement toward CRPC ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5472467/ ) , and I am interested

One Year After Diagnosis
Just received my latest
PSA
which is <.04 (!).
PSA
was 19.76 at diagnosis. So pleased with this. I have been prescribed Orgovyx ADT for another three months.

How do you know if radiation treatment worked?
For 9 months post radiation
PSA
has been not been detectable and it has now risen to 0.04. T is in the normal range. All other blood works were normal. Meet with my medical oncologist’s PA last week and she said it was not an issue. Just trying to confirm that.

Sufficient Investigation?
The GP was reluctant to give him his
PSA
result and said it was too soon after his obstructive episode. About 2 months ago he found from the nurse taking blood that a prior
PSA
was 8. That is the only result he has had.

Anyone else suffering arm pains in conjunction with ADT hot flashes?
However, because of the combined impact of arm pain and other side effects of ADT including regular bouts of extreme debilitation, breathlessness and exhaustion, I decided to quit ADT in February 2023 once my
PSA
had returned and stayed at zero.
