New diagnosis
Initial
PSA
test was a staggering 15.6. I'm average height, normal weight, 75 kg. A non smoker and generally fit and well with no other conditions, nor do I take any medication for anything else. This was just a random
PSA
blood test, instigated by me, no symptoms at all.

Return of Armpit Odor - Yikes!!!
Due shortly for blood panel including
PSA
. However, I have never had a testosterone test, that I recall. Could the return of odor suggest the return of testosterone? I'm actually "very concerned" . . .

I just started Zytiga and at the age of 86 I'm finding it difficult to climb stairs; I do have a slow heartbeat when at rest: mid to high 40
I've been on Orgovyx for 3 months, when I added Xytiga, which was added because Orgovyx was only able to bring my
PSA
from 12 to 1.8. Thoughts, Terry

CT and Bone Scan 2 weeks after PSMA PET?
For reference, my dad re-did his
PSA
test last Wednesday (Oct/23 - so after a month), which stayed at 0.48. Now, the RO is asking us to do another
PSA
test, CT scan and bone scan, before he can see us. I imagine all this would take another 1 to 1.5 months.

Post RP/SRT Pelvic Mass?
At such low
PSA
it does not seem like there could be a mass of PCa (or even benign prostate tissue) large and solid enough for me to feel just sitting down. What else could it be? Bladder? Rectum?

PSA slightly rose after 8 months undetectable
Till now I has been undetectable but at November my bloodwork showed
PSA
risen to 0.04. Should I be concerned or could it be just random fluctuation? Thanks for your reactions.

Enzalutamide (Xtandi): Start at half standard dose to extend efficacy time span?
In 2022
PSA
started rising to 3. New PSMA scan in April 2023 showed 3 new metastasis near the prostate and
PSA
up to 5.4. Started Xtandi 160 mg/di in April which pushed
PSA
back down to <0.1 but ALT liver enzyme up to 560 (ULN 59). This forced stopping Xtandi for 4 weeks until ALT was down to 69.

Interesting study on combination of statins and metformin in high-risk patient outcomes
My
PSA
has been steady at about 0.22 (+/- 0.02) for the past 2 years (with fairly frequent testing.) To my surprise - the last
PSA
read I had surprised me with a result of 0.15 - a fairly significant difference, enough difference for me to believe it might be real.

Chemo for an 86-year-old with stage 4 PC.
Started all this at 86, stage 4. 3 months on Orgovyx brought
PSA
from 72 to 1.8; next week I'm adding Zytiga, and if that helps and I can deal with this drug I'm going to press the MO to start me on Chemo. Do you think I'm setting myself up way too much?

PSA bounce after LDR brachytherapy?
Would my
PSA
be considered to be relatively stable and staying the same? Or was/is there real movement here?

Quite happy with ADT
Almost 83 years old, living presently in Germany, RT and PT not possible, ADT during the last 9 months (Lupron quarterly),
PSA
down to undetectable, quite happy with that.

ADT response and questions for MO
On 29 Jan
PSA
was 0.21 ug/L, testosterone was 0.4nmol/L - that looks like a very good response to me ... is it? 2. Also white blood cell and lymphocytes low, ALP and bilirubin high. Is that anything to follow up with MO? 3. I gather RT takes 3 or more months to show effects.

PSA check
He had a
PSA
check on Thursday and was just wondering how long results take to come through? All his othe tests were fine thank goodness. He was also wondering if it was too soon after having infection that he had
PSA
test done. Thanks

Baseline PSMA-Pet scan?
My
PSA
and Testosterone have been suppressed to <.1 and <4 for two years now. Isn't it pretty likely that the PSMA-Pet will be inactive for the most part?

Lymparza not working
Lymparza has done nothing for him and at 2 month check,
psa
doubled. Today at 4 month check
psa
doubled again. Needless to say we are so upset because the dr really believed he would do well. I am struggling to understand why Lymparza has done nothing. We are waiting to hear back on next steps.
