PSA Follow up
PSA
is still 0.00. Obviously I’m thrilled. He said that since I’m 3 years out from RT and 4 years from RP, he’s comfortable with seeing me annually because my

Testosterone Replacement Therapy ????
I am now almost over 5.5 years since my last Lupron injection and have had undetectable
PSA
for almost 7 years. My testosterone recovered to greater than 200 in late 2019. For 2.5 years testosterone continued to climb up to over 400 but then started to decline about 2 years ago.

PSMA scans and radiation of oligometastases
PSA
undetectable until 2019, now slowly rising at 0.40, doubling time 11 months. My questions/concerns about the scan/radiation approach: If I am going to go this route, what’s a good
PSA
level and/or doubling time to start? Does it confer a benefit to overall survival?

Patches (I'm depending on you, son)
While my research has continued, my oncologist has nothing to give me within the SOC to keep the
PSA
in check. Now I've witnessed another unwelcome visitor: facial hair (it only took me 70 yrs to start shaving....) Joking aside however, that means the T is on the rise.

Anyone have an opinion on this issue as I prepare to see a MO?
I am only asking as I have never exhibited any cancer symptoms any time and it was only because of the
PSA
level at my last primary doctor's visit I suggested about seeing a urologist.

Falling ALT - Pathway to Sarcopenia? - More Exercise Needed?
All my other markers are pretty good in my
PSA
is sort of undetectable. But I see that a low ALT maybe evidence of
declining muscle mass
and pointing in the direction of
sarcopenia
. Of course sarcopenia is predictive of progression and reduced LE.

Avodart added to my treatment regimen. I am Leary of it.
My
PSA
went up to 21 after the SBRT. The bicalutamide I understand. I am leary of the avodart. I am concerned that it will mask
PSA
rise from cancer. Any thoughts on this?

Constipation is a known issue with the Orgovyx
My labs are all stable and my
PSA
is stable at <0.02. But I'm now on 4 types of laxatives and next am planning on getting an enema and trying that. I have an appt with the doc Monday, my six month checkup. He said this is a known issue.

Switch from Lupron/abi to Orgovyx/abi?
Lupron/abi dropped my
PSA
and TT very quickly so that is not an advantage, but the side effects are considered to be less - though my side effects seem more from abi than Lupron. Perhaps Libido is better with Orgo as it is about gone.

Diet for duration of ADT?
My

New to Prostate issues. What are my options?
PSA
tests also normal. So I was placed on medication, Tamsulosin 400mcg. After 2 weeks I’m not seeing any improvement and to be fair, I don’t like to be on medication. Would always attack the cause rather than treat symptoms for the rest of my life with some toxic concoction.

Oglimetastic PC, what is he saying about my disease? I’ve been oo Abiraterone followed by Xtandi with Lupron every 3 months and Zometa every 6.

PSA Response From Broccoli Sprout Extract (Sulforaphane) May Due To Just Being Moderate ADT
Essentially, the
PSA
lowering effect, in my opinion, is due Sulforaphane reducing Testosterone and DHT levels.

Zytiga - Lupron
I was on Zytiga ( now Abi) with lup for several years and it kept my
PSA
to undetectable. I am now on 0rg0vyx instead of lup and my
PSA
remains undetectable after 6 years.

Dad,83 - is biopsy necessary ?
My dad , 83 had an elevated
psa
at 18. Dr ordered MRI which showed a pirads 5 with 2-3 bone metastases in the pelvic region and femur. Went to an oncologist who said to do a PSMA and then to start him on Lupron and bicalutamide. And maybe radiation for the bone met pain.
