What's different between Xtandi vs NUBEQA® (darolutamide) vs ERLEADA® (apalutamide)
Hello Everyone, zytiga didn’t work so move to xtandi After two months, Xtandi did not work, and
PSA
started going up; I suggested to the doctor to prescribe other medicine ( NUBEQA® (darolutamide) or ERLEADA® (apalutamide) based on this group's recommendations.

CT urogram
Hi all, when my husband first had symptoms synonymous with Pca he was sent for a CT urogram, we never knew his
PSA
result, this came back OK. 9 months later an MRI and a subsequent biopsy showed he was Gleason 9 with widespread bone metastasis.

Waiting for Mr. T
Blood tests were great,
PSA
and testosterone still undetectable. My MO decided to cancel my Eligard injection, mostly out of concern for my bone density (which became a problem last summer), and to let my testosterone recovery start sooner. (I'll still be on Abiraterone for 3 more months.)

had 4 treatments of Pluvicto is not dropping PSA
The first treatment dropped my
PSA
by over 100 points; however, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
PSA
climbed rapidly. My question is, Should he continue the treatment if it is not working for him?? Thank you, Concerned wife.

BROQ/Prostaphane
I would be potentially interested in taking it beyond a 6 months period without a break if my next
PSA
results are reasonably good. I will ask the manufacturer but would be interested to hear of others experiences.

My initial MRI and wait time for biopsy
PSA
rising slowly for 3 years from 4.0 to 5.1. The MRI indicates a pi-Rad level 4 lesion 10 ml, well defined with no infiltration. Either base peripheral zone 11 to 12 o clock or transitional mid gland zone 11 to 12 o clock. Will get the location cleared up.

Do low PSA-producing cells still rely on testosterone to grow?
If higher
PSA
cells are driven to near extinction by ADT, and if only low-
PSA
producing cells survive, are the latter still dependent on testosterone for survival? If not, what do they depend on to grow?

Any experience with Xtandi (enzolutamide).
It seems to be working, Scans and
PSA
are where they should be and symptoms are more discouraging than debilitating. The 1st yr was covered through Astellas Pt Assistance, but I no longer meet the income -- lack of -- requirements. Co-Pay for 30 days was $3202.19.

On treating micro-metastatic disease
Thereafter just monitor the
PSA
for any rise, and use PSMA PET scan to locate any cancer and to radiate whatever spots of cancer that are found. This May I will reach the one year mark of my ADT and seriously considering stopping the ADT because of the side effects... fatigue, muscle loss, forgetfulness

Does Gleason score still apply after RP
My
psa
was in the .02-.03 range bouncing up and down for 8 years. Last visit 4 months ago it went to .05 which scared me. My question is, if it is cancer cells that are growing, would they still be Gleason 6?

BONE DENSITY TEST IS BAD
Had
PSA
of 125 last April, and oncologist put me on Relogolix and Darolutemide. That along with going to plant based diet and adding weights and HITT exercise 3-4x per week, has brought me down to < .006. that’s the good news .

My uncle, a very fit 88-year old, was diagnosed with prostate cancer 3 1/2 years ago and while the hormonal treatment kept it in check for a couple of years, his
PSA
has now risen to 1600 and the scans show has spread to his bones.

Should I do chemotherapy?
PSA
21 at diagnosis. Have been put on orgovyx and xtandi. Chemo was not mentioned. Reading some posts here I wonder if chemo would be an important option for me ? I will turn 82 In a few months. I Do 45 minutes of walking and some light exercises daily.
