Does anyone take or have advice on taking a lactoferrin supplement to increase bone density?
On a somewhat regular basis, I search for information on increasing bone density. Today, I contacted The Bone Clinic in Australia to try to get more information about their program and to see if they have any affliates in the US. I received a reply a few hours later and am now considering signing up

PSMA scan results just arrived but interpreting them is difficult and no Onc telmed available until next week. Orgovyx failed two months ago
Any idea what this means or suggestions? Study Result Impression 1. Previous prostatectomy with no F-18 PSMA evidence of local recurrence or 2. Two F-18 PSMA avid presumed bone metastases, one in the right posterior third rib and the other in the left anterior T4 vertebral body. 3. No other F-18

QoL - a great gig last night!
As there have been a few posts recently about quality of life, I thought I'd put one out there about my main current avenue of enjoyment - playing bass guitar in a club band. We had a cracking gig last night with a packed dance floor all evening. A highlight for me as the bassist was our new song; a

Prostap SR - first injection, will I have a period? Please help x
I’m so heartbroken to read so many of us struggling, but in a way feel rest assured I’m not the only one. Hats off to you ladies! I was prescribed Ryeqo to stop my periods as I have large fibroids and horrendous bleeding each time I have my period After 2 weeks of taking Ryeqo, I had to go to A&E

Interpretation of results
Hello, I have had bloods done by Blue Horizon and wondered if any kind soul could interpret these numbers for me. Have been having a lot of what I thought were thyroid symptoms weight gain, constipation, dry skin, cracked heels, nails that are weak and won’t grow, fatigue, hair fall etc as TSH is on

Zoladex & Fainting
I have severe endometriosis & adenomyosis, I am now on a waiting list for a full Hysterectomy but that wait is about 1 year yet. I have previously had the prostap injections & used to faint a bit when I had it. I forgot this and have stared having zoladex and have started having the dizziness & nearly

Latest results - looking better?
Hi, I had my latest round of Medichecks "Ultimate Performance" results the other day (tested at 9am, fasted as per protocol). I'm doing these blood tests every 3-4 months to try and optimise things; energy, mood, brain-fog. I am doing quite well, subjectively probably somewhat better than previously

To hell and back...
I was diagnosed with endometriosis and fibroid in my late 40s. Pain was horrendous and bleeding would make its way through my clothing. The merena coil was attempted but wouldn't stay in because of my inverted womb. Fast forward a year later I started prostap which helped hugely but is only recommended

First month on Xtandi - the good and the not so good
Given all the horror stories I've read on here about the SEs of Xtandi, I was very apprehensive about taking it. Notwithstanding that, I decided to go straight in at the full 4-pill, 160 mg dose from day one and see how I get on. The good news is that a month in, I've had very little in the way of detectable

Hi everyone I’m new here. I got diagnosed stage 4 endo in September just gone, through a laparoscopy. Thought surgery might of eased my pains, however I’ve just had a second period since my surgery and the amount of pain I was in was unbearable. I couldn’t stand up, never mind walk, screaming and

Hardest thing in my life
Really struggling with this ativan taper. I'm so angry having to go through this at all. I should have never been prescribed this drug. It has done nothing but harm me. I've been through a few rough patches in my 50 years but this is by far the hardest. I haven't even stopped the taper yet as my psychiatrist

prostap
hi, I had my third prostap injection on Friday, this time I have a real big bruise and my stomach is tender and so sore, it hurts every time I breathe in. Has anyone else had this and how long did it last? 😓

Suspected B12 deficiency and about to start SI
Hi everyone, I’ve had ID anaemia (microcytic hypochromic) for over 20 years and was told by a GP many years ago that this was due to malabsorption. I’ve had hypothyroidism since 2014, long covid for the past 2 years, and a vax injury from March 2021 that is only just being investigated by rheumatology

Endo appointment later in the week, any advice?
I'm currently on 50 teva after a lot of stomach trouble with other brands after diagnosis of subclinical hypothyroid, I seem to get on with the lactose free ones better. I am still absolutely cream-crackered all the time, my feet are always freezing, hair is in a terrible state and having trouble with

Ativan tolerance withdrawal
I am experiencing Ativan tolerance withdrawal. There is nothing I can do other than increase my dose which is not going to help in the long run with my taper. I am having breakthrough anxiety and now withdrawal symptoms from the taper. I just started taking 25mg Pristiq which is a low dose to begin with

Total Abdominal (Bikini cut) Hysterectomy next week..yikes!
Hi all I’m hoping someone on here is able to give me some reassurance, I’m wondering if anyone has any positive experiences of having a total hysterectomy? I keep reading about the extremely difficult recovery (which I do expect) but I’m starting to get really anxious about the whole procedure.. I

Plain English for a layman please!
Not complaining, I know the doctors need their own precise terms and acronyms, but as a patient (even a reasonably educated one), I struggle to interpret what they're telling me in terms that I understand. The relevant parts of my PSMA PET scan report were: 1. Intense radiotracer uptake at the left

Great response in a very advanced case!
An update on my husband’s treatment and subsequent results so far. Diagnosed March 2022 with lymph nodes and bone metastases throughout the body. PSA of 1120. Late diagnosis due to NHS incompetence, so feeing truly rough. Told too late for surgery and too ill for chemo. Seven months of Prostap and
