HiExtensive endo was found during my lap in June 2021 - ovaries, bowel, diaphragm etc. I had my right ovary and tube removed. Four increasingly painful periods later, I reluctantly took my gynae' s advice and went on prostap for a year. It was great in that it stopped my periods, but I felt that the pain in general was much the same. My gynae has been very dismissive of my symptoms (stabbing ovary pain, back pain, stabbing chest pain, rib pain and ever present shoulder pain) saying that it must be due to something else as prostap puts everything to sleep!
I came off the prostap in October, and while I still haven't had a period, I have had spells of period-like pain since December and been sure it was coming , but it just hasn't happened. I kind of wish it would!
The reason for my post is that over the past few months I have felt the shoulder pain travelling down my right arm and into my hand. I get numbness and pins and needles and also a lot of pain in my elbow. This morning I have woken up to a similar feeling in my big toe, also on the right. Since my lap in 2021 i have experienced sciatic pain, also on my right, that wasn't there before.
I went to my gp last week and she is arranging for all sorts of tests, but I would like to go armed with some knowledge of possible. Had anyone else experienced anything similar? I am an otherwise healthy 49 year old!
Thanks in advance x
