hey me again,

i had my endo review and honestly it didn’t go how i thought.

so they have said to go in the coil or have surgery, which i was told i was too ‘fat’ for the surgery before seeing this doctor

i’m really worried about the coil just because i’m not sure it will 100% stop my pain like my prostap injections have, and now i’m worrying also having a foreign object inside of me for the next 5 years will be healthy for my body also? i’m not sure if i’m just being dramatic about it all.

i do not just want to be given the coil and than forgot about - has anyone had/got the coil to help with this pain? i’m not too bother about the periods themselves, like i’m a women we have to periods but the pain makes me stop what i normal can do day to day…

i hope this make sense i’m stressing badly so it’s not of an ramble

Personally I would not recommend the coil, I have had it twice and both times it caused me so many issues and I ended up having it removed.

If they can’t do surgery then they should be looking at more options for you, I feel like the coil is a cop out on their end!

Hi, sorry to hear you’re struggling. My advice on the coil is not to have it. I tried it and it was awful the pain was worse than ever before and I ended up getting it removed because of an infection. I’m now waiting for an hysterectomy. However this was just my experience and some people do find it works well for them, you’re also younger than me so that could make a difference on how you react to it. I’m not sure if this is very helpful but thought I’d share my experience with you. Good luck.

the Mirena coil gave me my life back for 17 years and I was symptom free, pain managed!!! This was after my first laparoscopy.

A “foreign object” was perfectly safe in my body for 17 years, they were changed btw, lol! The Mirena has progesterone hormone on it and it’s slow releasing. It’s magic lol 😆 This “foreign object” is science doing its thing!

Do your research and make your own decision. Ultimately, it was a leap of faith to try it and I have not regretted it 17 years pain free!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
