post radiation. Currently on ADT. PSA slight increase ?
Hey all, My father who started at 226PSA has finished radiation treatment about a year ago.: and remains on ADT. his PSA was sitting 0.03 but has jumped to 0.08. Is this any cause for concern? I took it as a positive as it sounds extremely low but now second guessing ..

Just finished my second Pluvicto round.
After the first round my PSA went down a couple of pts. After the second round it went up about 25 pts. Have not done any scan and I would rather wait until after the third round in mid April. I see no problem with this. Increase PSA can be the result of dying cancer cells, right SUV numbers in the 20s

Is there hope despite the pain? Is Cabometyx worth it?
My 63 year old husband LD stopped Cabo (Cabometyx) when we had Covid (because we took Paxlovid). Now he doesn't want to start up again because of side effects we believe are caused by the Cabo: jaw pain and numbness, body aches, tingling in extremities, pain in the shoulder joint emanating down his arm

New hope for castrate resistant prostate cancer on the horizon
A new experimental drug is in development that reverses castrate resistance and makes the cancer amenable to further treatment. Early days yet but it looks interesting. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/oct/16/new-prostate-cancer-treatment-may-be-on-the-horizon-say-scientists

The Science is Coming
Good to see the mini AZD5069 trial with enzalutamide offering another route to taming the beast. I am no scientist but as I understand it the target is myeloid white blood cells which can act to fuel tumours. The drup blocks the CXCR2 receptor and, in a small sample seems to have resulted in tumour shrinkage

FDG+/PSMA- lesions
My dad has metastatic CRPC. Xtandi failed, but at the moment he is still on it as we evaluate possible treatment options. Today we received also results of PSMA PET CT - it it stated, that there are discrepancies (loss of PSMA expression) with at least 4 bone mets when compared to findings of FDG (

treatment or no treatment?
it’s been almost 3 years since i was diagnosed with a Gleason 8 prostate cancer, confined to the prostate. To date I have elected not to be treated but instead have been monitoring my PSA levels. Originally this was 6 now 15. I am 66 with no symptoms and no other health issues. I have declined treatment

Respite from the fight
My beloved is snoring beside me: a sound I wasn’t sure I’d get to hear again. He’s spent the last two years “living” in the recliner in the living room. Pneumonia 3 times: a collapsed lung, likely from one of a series of falls last spring. On oxygen PRN since June 2023. Surgery to stretch the right

Newly diagnosed metastatic PC treatment options
Hi, I'm 68 years old. Here are the key points in my story so far: In July 2023 a blood test showed a PSA value of 45. On September 26 2023, prostate MRI showed a dominant tumor in the prostate with extension into the right seminal vesicle. Also the fat plane between the rectum and prostate is lost

MO recommendations at Mayo, Moffitt?
Hello - After 7 months of ADT (Lupron/abi) my MOs are not offering anything but continuation until my PSA fails, so I'd like to network more; so please let me know whom you think are the best at these two places. Thanks in advance.

Another notice of passing that prompt me to update my profile.
Updating my profile made me remember this quote from a comment on a post a few days ago. I want to share it because I agree, especially with the last paragraph. But before judging me, please read my newly updated profile. This quote comes from a discussion on a video ( of which I forgot to copy the YouTube

What remains?
My husband's PSA count is 3631. He's had every treatment bar Lutetium and immunotherapy and he doesn't have the BRCA gene. Are we at EOL? He, although emaciated, believes that it's not over yet.

PSA Doubled in 2 Months
PSA end of August was 0.12 now 0.24. I met with 2 ROs to discuss treatment when my PSA was 0.20 a week ago . One suggested ADT 18-24 months and prostate bed radiation. Second RO says we can avoid ADT for now as he sees 0.70 as the value he believes requires ADT. I'm scheduled for F18 PSMA scan in early

Whats high PSA? ( when you havent been diagnosed with prostate cancer)
After father was diagnosed. Several family member went and tested themselves with PSA tests. My husband was 39 years old and his PSA test came back 1,9 and this year at 40 years his PSA was 1,6, free PSA added 0,4 ( which was good). I read somewhere that PSA 1,5 and higher is of concern. I feel

Blood work question
My husband just got round # 4 of chemo yesterday and bloodwork was done the day before. Doctor not concerned with anything on the blood work and did say that it is expected to change with each round of chemo. Everything looked good and hardly any changes but one flag I see was the Red cell distribution

Moved from Abi to Nubeqa and saw a PSA increase
I recently switched from Abiraterone/Prednisone to Nubeqa because of the high blood pressure that I had with Abi requiring additional BP meds. I was previously .058 a month ago when I switched and .109 today, almost double in a month. Any one with experience with this switch?
