Hair loss
For 30 years I’ve had mild hair loss due to lupus and all the drugs I take. I accepted that. When I developed severe depression, I suffered more hair loss particularly on the crown. I accepted that. When my menopause started hair loss was a feature, but as it’s common and lots of women I know have it

Diagnoses psoriasis PPP.
Hi all, I've recently been diagnosed with palmar plantar pustulosis and I am waiting for PUVA PHOTOTHERAPY, could be waiting 3-4 months due to backlog. The skin specialist thinks it's linked to me having Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnoses 9 years ago.

Is this alopecia?!
At the start of lockdown I noticed this patch, I called the doctor and had a blood test. I was told I had really low B12 and that would explain the sudden hair loss. Well over the last 12 weeks it’s got a lot bigger. I’ve had a repeat blood test and my B12 is now normal. I have another bald patch on

COVID-19 T3 Trial
An interesting trial of T3 therapy for COVID-19 patients is being set up https://trialsjournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13063-020-04474-0#MOESM1 . The trial uses large doses of T3. Although not as large as described in the trial summary. References to e.g. '0.8g/kg i.v' should refer

Hair loss
My dr switched me to Synthroid instead of Levothyroxine because I’m losing my hair. If this is the cause of my hair loss, how long before I notice a difference? Thank you

T4 thyroid meds = alopecia
Does anyone have alopecia that they think may have been initially caused by being prescribed the wrong thyroid medication? I am convinced my problems all started 5 months after taking this drug and think it made me more hypothyroid/hashimotos. It was all quiet for a bit then just came out of nowhere

Telogen effluvium
Hi Julie This is my first post too . I totally understand how you feel . I have been suffering severe hair loss . My hair which was lustrous is now less than 1/10 th of what it was . Painfully thin and continuing to shed . It’s telogen effluvium and I think possibly stress is the cause. I sincerely

Hair loss
Hello all! I was diagnosed a month ago and am on 50mcg levothyroxine plus folic acid tablets. I only ever brush my hair when I wash it, which is every 3/4 days. I'm losing about 3 times as much hair as I was before. Is hair loss a symptom of hypothyroidism or side effect of the medication? Thank you

Thinner Penis Skin due to topical steroids- what to do
I had a small bout of psoriasis on my penis, and a dermatologist prescribed a very strong steroid as a first course of action. I have been dealing with thinned, painful skin that fissures easily for years. Of course, this doctor didn’t bother to mention the life-altering side effects. I go up and down

Mirena IUD levonorgestrel levels after 6 years?
Hi there, I decided to have the Mirena IUD fitted 6 years ago for the treatment of Endio and will now need this replaced. Does anyone know how the hormonal side of the Mirena works in terms of longevity. ie Should I expect any side effects when this is replaced as the level of levonorgestrel has lessened

Ferrograd C - does it sell in the UK?
Hi all, I’m in the UK for some time and I can feel that my iron is low again (been a continuous issue for years, I know the signs). In Australia I used to take Ferrograd C with fantastic results. Is there an equivalent here? I haven’t come across it. Ferrograd: Each tablet contains: Dried ferrous

Levo without additives
Hi all. A while back I mentioned that I had found a UK company that makes levo without any additives in it. It is basically T4 suspended in almond oil with vitamin C as the preservative. They would only tell me the cost if I got a private script, which I finally managed to do free off my GP... however
