Apixaban / Eliquis Hair Loss
I’ve had make pattern baldness but I’ve successfully been able to halt it using 1mg of
Propecia
for the past 12 years; however after starting Apixaban with the first 5-6 weeks I started to lose a significant amount of hair to the point where clumps were coming out when I saw the hairdresser.

SBRT process just starting
I am taking Finasteride (
propecia
) to try to shrink my prostate, Tamsulosin (flomax) to urinate better and I will begin taking Tadalafil (cialis) once the radiation starts to assist the bloodflow. I plan to post updates from my procedure and certainly post any questions I have.

Biotin interference with Thyroid bloodwork
I am due for follow up blood work and just remembered that biotin interferes with the test results. How far in advance must I quit taking my B complex which has 100% daily requirement of Biotin? My last TSH a few months ago was .03, super low for me. I usually run between 1.5 and 2. But my FT4 was

Timings of NDT and iron supplements
Hi all, I'm struggling to maintain ferritin levels whilst also trying to adhere to the timings of iron supplements around my NDT and other vitamins. My ferritin is rarely higher than 20s (in the last ten years the highest it has been was 52 just once). I've been on NDT for a year and am gradually

Tirosint
Hi, I posted earlier about Tirosint in Gel capsules possibly giving me a rash. I stopped taking them 4 weeks ago and the rash continues. Not as bad but still all down my legs and arms. My question. Can it take so long to leave the body? Or am I blaming the wrong thing for my rash? Blood tests were

TSH increase
I recently had blood tests due to feeling really fatigued especially after exercising. I’ve been on levo for 13 years for Hashimoto’s. Levels have been up and down. Last test was 0.75 and I felt fine. That was 9 months ago. Most recent test it was 7.16! No wonder I feel bad. All vits tested on the low

hair dye/hair loss,
hi everyone, I’ve got any hair appointments next week to have my half head roots done, this would be my first hair appointment since diagnosis, and although I’m shredding more hair then normal I don’t know what to do with my appointment? Is it better to cancel it till my hair stops falling out, or get

Boron, an interesting article about supplement for T3 increase
Found this article which I found interesting as a possible supplement to assist with T3 may consider after next blood test if no improvement. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4712861/?fbclid=IwAR3dMJ-9rLLZ47g1qBU4LbMViJROk8gIbRNhijGMMW3giwHjVbsY06Huppk

Biotin
Hi please can you tell me how much biotin would affect blood test results. I am waiting for a doctors appointment , they have told me it will be between 2 and 4 weeks, but could be sooner. I am currently taking B complex supplement which contains biotin. I know the guideline is don't take for 7 days.

Hair Loss
I am aware the thyroid being out of range can cause hair loss. Other than trying to get my thyroid back into range, is there anything else I can do to help slow/reduce hair loss and help my body to regenerate/grow new hair? Still hypothyroid, working on improving my levels and TgAB are increasing.

Eye brow hair loss
Hi, a few days ago I posted my story on this forum. Today I would like to focus on one problem in particular, eye brow hair loss. I always had rather thin and far from perfect eye brows, but since I had my surgery it got much worse. I feel very bad and embarrassed about it 😞 I understand that

Biotin use
I've been reading posts here about taking biotin & how it affects blood test results. I started daily biotin supplement around 2014 when I had a treatment for multiple sclerosis that was thinning my hair & weakening my nails. I found it was really helping & noticed a difference when I ran out once.

Medichecks advanced thyroid rest
Hi all, The instructions for my medichecks test says to stop B12 for two whole weeks before testing! Do others follow this advice? I know from this forum that I have to stop any biotin containing supplements for 7 days before any blood test.
