I'm losing quite a lot of hair and now have a tingling/itchy scalp. I have Hashimoto's and follow a gluten free diet. What can I do? I really don't want to bald as well as fat :(

Sharing what a holland and Barrett assistant told me today
nipped in the health shop to ask about supplements for thyroid and the lady was very eager to help me. She showed me Kelp and asked me if my Dr had given me tablets and I told her yes. Are they working? She asked, I said no, there making me feel ill (which is true) she then said to me You must stop them

Ferritin levels
I'm 20 years old.My ferritin levels are 18 ng/ml (15-300) and I'm having hair loss. I went to the doctor and he didn't seem to worry about it because I wasn't anemic, however, I feel like I should improve that. What are your opinions? Should I take an iron supplement?

Brown spot on toenail...
I know this isn't really a lupus issue, but just curious if anyone else has come across this? I mentioned the appearance of a brown spot on my large toenail to my doctor and he was instantly very concerned and referred me for an urgent dermatologists appointment. Ive since looked up information on this

A single 10mg oral dose of biotin interferes with thyroid function tests
This simple and small scale study demonstrated that even a single dose of 10 milligrams of biotin is enough to push TSH down, and FT4 and FT3 up sufficiently to potentially cause misdiagnosis. 10 milligrams was chosen because it is commonly available dose of biotin as a supplement. Anyone could take

Hi everyone. I have terrible hair loss all of a sudden as well as other issues like loss of eyebrows, poor nails etc. I went to GP he did all tests and when they came back said nothing he could do. I pushed for visit to consultant which he did. Consultant was a waste of time. He said don't know why GP

Child hair loss
When I went to put sun cream on my daughter's neck (she's 10 next month), I lifted her plait up I noticed a bald patch. It's completely smooth, no bad skin or broken hair. She also suffers with psoriasis (this definitely not a psoriasis patch) as I have lupus just wondered if it makes her more likely
